Sometimes I question my judgement - in fact every day these days.... but I will still hold the view this is severely undervalued. The fact that it is £3.50 now leads me to believe I am one stupid idiot - how can shares get pummelled to 0% gain on a day when earnings per share increase almost 50% despite year after year after year surpassing expectations and growing earnings?

The market makers are playing this for all they can. The open auction valued these at £3.72 (+6%) and now they stand at +0.7%.... terrible reward for a company making over £3,000,000,000 and growing 7-8% each year!

At just 1% up - clearly people have mental capacity issues IMO. I think the world is completely BONKERs at the moment....

Kingkevin - spot on. I think people have lost faith that this will ever get over £5 again - I see it written throughout the comments on this board. Let me state my firm belief - this will be well above £5 if, as has already been alluded to in the annual report, the strategy continues to pay off. In my opinion, people dismissed the strategy because it wasn't complicated enough and it looked a bit simple. But, being a data analyst in my own job, I think the strategy was absolutely a sound one. Just the market didn't think do. Who's wrong? I think the market is fundamentally wrong on AVIVA. Eventually it will wake up - hopefully in my lifetime!

Vod an exceptional company - invested a lot here... ramping up.... great long term future IMO.

Ignore the gyrations.... exceptional results is what you are investing in.... with very positive forward guidance. Strategy is paying off.

Come back and correct me but Aviva now has more spare capital and cash than its entire market capitalisation. This STOCK MARKET is screwed up to the hilt!

Taversham - look at book value for LGEN shares - £1.30 if even... share price > £2.60.... 100% premium to NAV. Aviva - NAV = £4.34 - current share price £3.50. Go figure!

If Aviva was priced like LGEN - it being every bit as inferior - Aviva shares would be £9... at 110% premium. Both have had equally good results.... its just one is viewed as a darling; the other a cash juggarnaut led by sensible boring people....

If it doesnt rise today of all days - I will truly lose any faith that sensible investors exist anywhere on the planet!

I dont hold LGEN shares and have no intention at their 100% premium. Aviva a much sounder proposition led reliable, risk-averse, boring management who dont inspire anyone. Yes - 14% ROE, growing EPS and growing dividend - thank you! now Aviva is barely 5 times earnings - bonkers!

That should say LGEN valued at 200% book value.... crazily over valued

In my humble investing experience this is an example of a stupid market... Aviva deserves a 50% re-rating and then some.... why LGEN shares are 100% book value and Aviva shares are 20% below book value just shows the screwed up illogical basis of this stock market. By all accounts Avivas performance in 2019 was stunning!

Truly stunning results.... only going to get better. Focus on expenses really important. Over £3 billion profit MAGIC. Growing dividend..
. growing EPS.... ROTE over 14% - fantastic..... reaffirms my strong belief Aviva a superior conpany .
