Read the muddy waters report and look through their accounts as was interested in buying a few. Sorry - I'm afraid if its true, I won't be touching the company.... if Muddy Waters got everything wrong, then shame on the them.... but the relationships between NMC and other orgs is troubling. Also the accounts they have put together make it look like everything is plain sailing. Sorry.... won't be spending anything on these. ADVICE for those who want to take it - sell as quick as you can. More falls coming IMO.... hope I am wrong!

bunkham... it has two point three billion debt... it will never be able to service it long term... I tried making a quick buck here... diaster.

I'll tell you exactly what's going on. In one word - DEBT - Mountains of it being refinanced at enormous rates. I don't expect AA will be around as an independent organisation in the next 5 years....

Falkland - you said it would hit it in 2019 - mid-2019.... you hoped you were right. you were wrong. The reason why Royal Mail is down is because they are spending £1.8 billion on investments. If they didnt, then profits this year would be at the £600-£700 million range, but they are wisely investing that in the business. The unions have a lot to answer for.

madsaballoon... I really question whether you have got the balls to actually dispassionately look at the way your union works.... like really???? My dad introduced the first miners union in Canada and was a rep... I'm no stranger to Unions, but they do make me laugh - they are a bit like Labour' manifesto - irrelevant. To see people on Universal Credit voting for the Tories just shows how of touch the Unions and Labour are. I'll be sooo glad when they elect Clare Long-Bailey - that will be Labour out of power for another generation. Madasaballoon... CWU are going down the miners strikes route... Royal Mail is going to be enirely defunct in 4 years if change doesn't happen quickly. It's operating within a dinosaur mentality.... apart from the fact that CWU coerced Royal Mail workers into signing up to the strike which the Court upheld as law, its just a terrible force for bad in our society... what happens when you keep demanded wage increases higher than what you have produced? The company makes losses.... what happens when it makes losses, jobs go... Left wing nuts cannot add one and one together.... as for my shares, they are in lock up... I'm not one bit happy with CWU and if I were Rico, I would not recognise them, let them strike til kingdom come... no loss to society - let other companies take market share. SICK of the puppy love approach of RICO who has delivered nothing but negative messages when in fact the profit forescast is intact!

I spoke to them on Monday... they were clear, it was May. Also spoke to Winterfloods - again they said it would be May. So fecking annoying! 8 months - all my shares tied up.

Leas - I know. But I've been told it will be May this year. I am playing the poor lugs to get my cash out as I have £24k in dividends - a lot of those from Royal Mail.

alaninvestor.... because people are investors - Royal Mail, despite all of the things happening around it manages to pull off all of its expected goals (yes, productivity - 1.3% increase, last year it was 0.1%). The market is being extremely irrational.

I might be cautiously optimistic. But I see no reason why this cannot finish blue for once. Meeting expectations despite the massive drop in letters volume is an amazing achievement and having £1.8billion cash to modernise and pay a dividend, is truly some achievement.

The Union will negotiate and Royal Mail will modernise.... they have to....
