On the one hand it is a worry as many including the BOD think the company is under valued at say up to 40p but on the other look at the sh*t show it has all turned into what with politicians being politicians ( just for the record I think they are all as bad as each other ) and Piedmont not being in the best of places ..I don't think the pathway forward is as smooth as it once looked !

They agree ratification on the proviso that any gains on selling spodumene over a certain price eg 1400 dollars an extra percentage is paid in tax

Personally would not pay too much attention to MF ..you only have to read the first few sentences about Atlantic to know they really dont know what they are talking about ! Having said that if we get ratification and investment and start selling spodumene by 2026 at above current market rates we will be massively under valued

There gave been difficulties getting Piedmont to oay fir some time..I would say some 9 months ago NH said that there were ongoing discussions about getting them to pay..it was coming in dribs and drabs and it is no surprise in the current economic environment that they have fallen way behind..I said some little while ago if we get ratification and offtake deal in a short time frame there will be problems with Piedmont because I doubt they will be ready to go and they will try to stall..K Phillips was very matter of fact about it when interviewed !

Not going to lie but I think the BOD had a good take on how things were going with Parliament and decided there was a good chance we were in for the long haul ie no ratification until after the election and so took the decision to raise the funds in a relatively inexpensive and quick way

Sort of a bit harsh Teddy..more to do with obstruction from the politicians rather than blaming Neil ..if it does not go through by the election it will be very interesting to see the outcome..as I said before even if it was ratified and then the NDC won there is a good chance they would still upset the apple cart so although a lot of sp pain now it still maybe better in the long run eventually to wait until after the election..the delay may well cost a few jobs now but it would be a lot worse if we really upped the headcount and then it was put on hold..we are expecting to employ somewhere in the region of 800 to 900 locals.. i think it is about 75 at the moment although some of them may already have been let go because of these shenanigans and anticipated delay from hereon !

Lol there is a bit of irony here..Atlantic trying to do everything by the book , pay their taxes and contribute hugely to local economy and Ghana in general and in compliace with the authorities..on the other hand you have 1 million illegal miners which probably accounts for some 80% of gold mined in Ghana causing untold damage to the enviroment ..admittedly there are an estimated 4.5 million dependents on ghe illegal mining but it is a huge problem that the authorities cannot control..ps not too sure there is any health and safety measures in artisanal mining !!!

No think you have got that wrong ..Keith was brought in for his expertise ..he is responsible for the companies objectives and strategic direction and he will determine budget and direction and spend..

The only part I agree with is Neil is probably the main spokesman rather than Keith
