Just been watching for the last 40 mins ..a bit chaotic to be honest ..people shouting over each other whilst someone on their phone and others joking not listening to whoever speaking..they are talking about mining at the moment but arguing the toss over committees but not ALL from what I can make out

I am not sure they would put forward another bid before ratification but given the lowly price if they did make another slightly improved offer the company may feel compelled to put it to shareholders

I think that is how it may happen..it is more of a protest that we could get more out of this deal but at the same time know it is going to get voted through ..when that is is another question..today is as good as any so we can move on to the bext orobkem lol..cough cough Piedmont

They have already announced that they are actively searching for an offtake partner effectively in competition with Atlantic to finance their share of the build !!

The problem is stockcheque they are trying to do that now ..sell their entitlement or at least some of it to pay for their share of the build ..sooner or later I feel someone is going to get squeezed !

So my question was do we cross swords with Piedmont..I am aware of the current situation but clearly KPhillips was talking a much longer timescale than Atlantic even if they did get ratification in timely order and offtake deal across the line !! Does it get messy ?

Whilst we wait for Ghana Parliament to reconvene and hopefully get ratification over the line...if the above happens and as the company has intimated that all other permits and environmental studies are close to being concluded can we expect Atlantic to want to plough ahead towards breaking ground and crossing swords with Piedmont who may not be ready to commit their funds to the build ..any thoughts

That is good news then although hopefully the source was not NH as he has been slightly off with his timelines for news just recently !

Who gave you the heads up ShareWomble about the offtake ? Did they tell you how much is coming into the coffers and what percentage is cash ..did they tell you though that as they were going to pay cash up front it would probably be wise to make sure Atlantic got the ML ratified first ..just wondering how good your source is !!

It was just about a month ago when NH did a vox markets interview when answering a question about the offtake deal and he said the lawyers were working feverishly away to get it right and done ...hmmm hopefully we should hear something very soon either confirming a deal or telling us errr sorry something has gone wrong...hopefully not the latter !!

I agree with what you are saying Teddy but Phillips can probably hang his hat on the part of the agreement that says commencement of funding by Piedmont is conditional upon receipt of all regulatory approvals necessary to begin construction on the project , or otherwise agreed by the co and Piedmont...so I cannot see how Atlantic can start talking to anyone else unless Piedmont agree and if you listen to KP in interview that is not on his agenda ..he was just looking at a delay in timeframe

Teddy , if you read it in the context that NH said it I am fairly sure he was referring to the delay in the arrival of the ratification

I agree the silence has now gone on for too long..on the one hand we were expecting a stream of news in Q1 which then went over into Q2..if the plethora of news was dependent on getting ratification then that was a big mistake on relying getting ratification in that timeframe..however is there some other spanner in the works which as NH said we are prepared for all eventualities ..was he just referring to ratification delay.. ?
