I think NH buying shows confidence in the project and that he is making a good investment decision not that I am expecting bad news so I will chuck some of my money away because a director buy will not stop the sp falling on bad news !

I am not sure that Nick M can be credited with finding Cascabel , think that was Malcolm Norris but for sure he did put Solgold on the map and was instrumental in backing and raising finance when needed .. also in his defense I think he has been involved in many a company that he has helped develop , finance and then sell and whilst the interests in Ecuador are by far the biggest and most complex I think the change of guard came about because he is a bit of a stubborn old g*t and was not going to be bamboozled by the bigger guys ..but hey ho all history now and hopefully something positive soon

I think from Assore point of view their 33p bid was a bit opportunistic..they would have wanted it recommended by the BOD and not to go hostile as there is plenty of unrest from the opposition party before ratification..obviously with ratification and investment from MIIF the derisking will value the project a lot higher and Assore benefit from that in a big way so really a bit of a win win for them

The expected news needs to drop and be positive and then we can start climbing out of this little hole we find ourselves in

Fwiw my take is every thing takes time particularly in politics..hopefully the ratification vote does come in the coming quarter and everyone in the ruling party toes the line as the number of members of Parliament are finely balanced at the moment in Ghana..subsequently I hope the ruling party also win as there are murmurings from the opposition that they are not happy with the terms of the deal to say the least but a lot of that could be the usual finger pointing and gesturing that you get with most political parties.. get the ratification out of the way and finance forthcoming from Piedmont ( hopefully no hiccups there ) and we should be out of the woods and onto a bit of a highway so to speak !

I think you can view the actual bids that we have had in one sense as a positive which Neil also refers to and that is Assore were prepared to pay substantially more than what we were/are valued at and also added at a higher price than where we are now ..I think we as shareholders can take the positive that management said we are not putting that to investors as it under values the company substantially ..so where would anyone go from there if they wanted to take out ALL ..well if it were to be a recommended bid then I would suggest it has to be well in excess of 33p and if a company were to go hostile then of course that could mean a bidding war and we could end up way way higher but lots of ifs buts and maybe !!

Fairly easy money selling into that rise as more often than not good drill results alone are not normally enough to drive a sp forward

Yes Samuel Jinapor head of Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources said in December that it will come before Parliament by March 2024..that looks to be cutting it fine
