News on next 7 completion step?30 Jul 2018 14:29
From recent(ish) Miraboud note:
''The implementation agreement detailing the final legal terms and steps to completion is expected to be signed in July by the interested parties. This will facilitate closing of the transaction in Q3, subject to Government consent, which has been worked up in parallel and, in our view, should be a formality. ''
I have a decent position here - originally in on Niger assets story and seven has been an absolute 'journey' so far -and like many others here have very high hopes for this share into the future.. but it is Nigeria (and Niger) and this deal was supposed to complete at back end of Q2 and no news tomorrow means perception of some further delays again.. of course chill and we'll get there in the end - hopefully - may be the order of the day but it's just another example of nothing ever running smoothly in Nigeria, or when it does, for one reason or other, it's not for long.. hence while I do agree that 28p is potentially way too low for this s/p I do not see this share getting to £2 ever and I'd be fully out of this if ever £1 was achieved.. and while I do expect - aka hope- Seven to fully complete in due course - hopefully Q3 of course - I also offer that if no news in the coming days and weeks on the implementation agreement completion there may well be 'topping up opportunities' at lower than 28p in August.. and potentially decently lower again in September etc.. all imho..
Generally I offer: Think of a fair and reasonable s/p on 'fundamentals' and take 50% off because it's Nigeria might not be a bad rule of thumb in life imho eg: I hold Lekoil and think it has serious potential but in the middle of another eg of 'it's Nigeria' there..
