Good post Mr Zap (imho)
And that last placing of three years ago was at a - what now appears to be - Princely 6.2p .. in fairness too...
.925p today even more shocking, in the round, so... alas
PS: How Mr Bird managed the unwind of his Bushranger story... that turned out average - so far - (imho) versus an at one point potentially excellent looking outcome ... remains my biggest issue here.. such apathic ham fistedness against a brutal market backdrop, doubly unfortunate too.. (Towards balance, I've always liked Mr Colin Bird's 'ave a go 'ero orientation)
Generally, I need Mr Bird to get even somewhat lucky with an 'ole or three one more time .. please.. and that's plenty possible still too ..
Approx 100m volume - buys and sells -were transacted here last week alone.. the Swedish Teachers Pension fund seller had approx. 60 m to sell in total.. and had opportunity to sell in feb too when there was 100m - buys and sells -transacted volume across all that month ......
Given very good liquidity here last week and semi decent liquidity here thru Feb that Pension fund seemingly - from yesterday's RNS - having a meaningful chunk to sell still surprised me a lot..
I'll guess the placing could have been at 2p + when scoped in the market from say early last week.. but leaky leaky selling - I note the two 'huge' volumes days of last week were Thursday and Friday too, to support this - before the placing saw it end up at 1.8p - a further disappointment from a company that has already smashed the vast majority of its medium and especially long term shareholders)
Also I'd like to know what the arranged selling to ARCM price will be for that Swedish Pension Funds remaining Block ....and how many shares that actually is ... and when that price was agreed?
Thanks for that feedback smalleyus
And I agree you generally are indeed well worth paying attention to here
Mr WOS go by shoe(s) today, seemingly.. well deserved, Sir..
But I'm surprised it has taken til nearly 3pm for the s/p to start down today in your absence..
I hope you enjoy more shoe buying tomorrow too Mr WOS !
PS: If we don't get to 3.25p by eob tomorrow can you stay buying shoe(s) on Thursday too please Mr WOS ?!
''No, I get to the gymn at 6.00 and spend 90 minutes work out, then 5 minutes steam room and 15 minutes sauna, shower, then a glass of juice and some fruit and home by 8.30 ish, so not much chance of an early morning check and for a long time I've not been disappointed so early in the day.''
Surprised you weren't more specific on the fruit you have RG27 ?!
Also looking forward to getting colour on your 8.30 am ish to 1pm ish?
I'm going to second - and third and fourth... - that 3cardbrag !
While I sincerely congratulate Mr Bird on his fine achievement of selling Kiwara to First Quantum - for approx $260 million - in 2009 .. it is now approx 15 years since then.. and given I was warned in 2016 ish that Mr Bird had in recent preceding years talked a far better game than he delivered - that can only be based on under achievements by him between 2010 and 2016 max - and his track record in the v approx 8 years I've been involved in this share up to now has been, in the round, - very - underwhelming.... it's actually about shareholder pain from him turning 65 thru him turning 80 ....and maybe beyond ....etc
( I bought in here 2016 ish as he'd done it with Kiwara and so I guessed had a decent chance of doing it again at some stage.. he might still .. here's hoping etc)
PS: I hope the man lives many healthy years yet.. regardless of what happens to xtr.l.. as I see this space/AIM sector as hard core punting.. where I fully understand that the vast majority of co's, one way or other, end up decimating most shareholders 'Investments' aka bets
Are you still open to buying in here around Summertime smalleyus?
Or Spring time even?
And what might be an acceptable price range to you for any such buying here?
It is what it is flipper.. and regulators will continue to do what they now do, I expect..
nobody is making me/us play this game .. all my losses / gains are on me ..
AIM has evolved into a short term traders market - including more shorting - because longtermers very - very - often lose heavily
PS: I've seen plenty less caring about their shareholders Execs than CB on AIM
''although I see some ADVFN posters were invited......I wonder if some of the regulars on here also subscribed via their contacts ''
I wonder - more - how much shorting /forward selling/selling down to buy back lower etc happened in the last week odd off the back of this?!
As I'm newish here, this is my first time gaining live experience of NvS operating.. at least I'm used to such modus operandi at this stage of my wide participation in the AIM cesspit/casino.
I would offer that in the circumstances - which should not have arisen, granted.. but poor management has consequences - I understand this raise to be a reasonable play against a bad set of options..
So, including me being a pretty new shareholder here, I'll find it easy enough to look forward instead of back from here.. but I'll do that while understanding not to trust or rate Senior Management here..
eg Range trading and a small to mid size total in play bet at most more my orientation here going forward than it might have been before yesterday's RNS
..... and maybe having a hoot there with Nicholas Von Shirnding - ARCM Exec Chairman- at us the mugs that are dumb enough to be shareholders in their companies :-) (As unlike as it sounds by name, granted.... I wonder are those two related in some way !)
You can't be remotely sure about that Fosters...
......CB could equally be in a Corporate Box at Cheltenham smoking Cuban cigars and drinking large XO cognac !
For better or worse these guys are not looking to sit back and take big salaries while AA does all the work.. Botswana and new Zambia licence activity on their plates now..
They probably wouldn't have taken pay cuts whatever.. so they'll say they're looking to justify their salaries more and having multiple irons in the fire gives them a wider variety of 'opportunity' to grow the s/p too
(if they're cr+p as a rule then such endeavours may be folliful, I also get)
I absolutely expected no placing around this time and price.. and said so here .. but was wrong .. and so sincere apols on that shout..
But we are where we are and I think there are some pros as well as cons in this RNS.
Generally, I now understand far more clearly why management have such a bad rep. amongst long-term shareholders here.. and this will absolutely effect my thinking here going forward.. however no panic for me around now .. I'm pretty new to this share .. with a mid size bet only.. that's not at a bad average versus the field here..and so patience not a problem for me..
Looking thru trades here today.. I'm thinking algorithmic from Professional Investor/s..
Smallyeus could of course be tied in with such in some shape or form, granted....
I'll start to pay some attention to this now.. open to topping up here - as I think from last RNS that this business could easily see a decent turnaround in 24 - but will look to get a better feel for this rally in coming days..
(very tricky share this.... and I often wonder about leakiness in hmi.l too.. so caution always appropriate here imho)
DYOR
No idea re smallyeus being bopd.. but do wonder if he's started buying here recently.. he was laughing at us on the way down here.. maybe now buying near the bottom towards laughing at us on the way back up too....( he said he was open to buying in summer here .. why wait, when these are currently available at very low spring sale prices )
.. towards maybe/hopefully a signal of a start of a turnaround in share price fortunes here....
.. too early to tell if a decent rally will soon be upon us, I get .. but there's a chance of such here this week imho..
.....so here's hoping that buyers will soon be pushing against an open door here....
IMHO & DYOR
Header!
After his epic recent efforts, Mr WOS deserves two days off to go buy shoe, Sir - one shoe each day to save money.. as he spend a fortune on Shoe/s already, Sir - thus letting this fall back to 3.25 p by mid week, Sir... so I get a good top up price, Sir...then Mr WOS come back Thursday to ramp the 'Arris off this M Tucker again, Sir .. please
Agree that things are starting to get exciting again here now.. about time too..
There'll always be shorters/knockers weaselling about.. but I readily remain long and strong here... and MTucker's post below leads me offer that shorters here rhyme with MTucker
