Putting solely dedicated CEO's in charge of a few of his AIM listed companies could well 'elp - and Mr Bird stay chairman of each, maybe - but those CEO's might well want to grow out solely dedicated teams too ..which could get expensive quickly.. and many are of his co's cash shy....(xtr less so because of Manica forward income, which is a big + )

Often each of his co's have multiple licences ..so the plan should be to sell a licence or two from each asap .. and then - and only then - use that money to bring in solely dedicated ceo's and perhaps a small few additional dedicated staff per co too (as well as keeping leveraging the central resource pool model that already exists)

Glr has a good short term opportunity to do this.. xtr, while plenty less urgent, is somewhat ditto .. (bushranger the more obvious selling opportunity, but not the only one.. )

I'd have to buy LOTS more to get near his latest average Komakino; and I'm not prepared to do that. (I'd probably add a decent few more if this went into the 5's p mind - to get my average down from 9 p is to 8p ish - but, in the round, I absolutely DO NOT wat this s/p to go into 5's p)

It is very understandable to me that many long termers who have not taken meaningful money off the table - at profit or near b/e even etc- are very annoyed and disappointed here around now.

But my guess is, AK's modus operandi will be little different going forward than it was previously here, including it remaining his - and a few of his big shareholder 'mates' - way or the highway.

Here's hoping, especially that AK has more luck in the next few years than he had in the previous few....

(If not, I'd guess this might easily go private around 2028.. with shareholders getting anywhere in the 5p to 15p range per share consideration... but, in case of confusion, I'm BETTING punchily - for me - he will turn this around decently in coming couple of years)

If HX currently holds no shares here and is not short here either, then I guess he might still be tempted to buy these in maybe the 5's p for eg.. And how might this get that low... well doing a good job talking this down certainly wouldn't hurt?

That said, he could argue he's providing balance to a b/board with more bull than bear post

(I'm OK with that btw.... and I often learn more from absorbing the bear posts more than the bull ones where I'm a holder)

More generally, let there be no confusion, AK has , thru luck and or judgement, had an absolute stinker here over plenty of years now : 100p + was being talked about by v high quality posters here a fair few years back; I'd bite your hand off for 20p + here now.

PS: I do think this could end up being taken private, especially if the s/p cannot be meaningfully revived in the next approx 2 to 3 years.. but 2 to 3 years is a good ways off still .. and there are plenty of potential meaningful catalysts on the near/ nearish horizon that can turn s/p fortunes decently around here..

Ouch.. this stock can be a nightmare.. but I still have a reasonable degree of hope that this can, one way or other, find itself back in a 5p to 10p s/p range again, whenever in the future, please

(that said, I understand this bet to be a very hard core punt on my part.. and even having a small in play bet - currently - still in this doggy is annoying me... and I absolutely do empathise with those with bigger bets in play here around now... even TakeYourBets)

The s/p - especially this morning - would suggest whiteelephants in the Colin Bird stable.

Speaking of not turning up to the AGM; I live 1000m from the Gore Hotel - the venue for this years AGM - and have been in - and out - of this share for years and wouldn't dream of attending this years AGM, or indeed any other years... unless/until Mr Bird finds a way of delivering a sustainably decent s/p 'ere. (And I'm all for not bumping into Mr Bird in Bar 190 or 190 Queens Gate restaurant there, either)

That said, I do respect that Mr Bird has some strengths too.. and I do like that he's an 'ave a go 'ero .... ( and I like the macro global copper future supply/demand picture too)

Generally, I'm in this as a punt - I include range trading in that - on an 'ard core punter.. and I live in 'ope that he'll one way or other get lucky in the not too distant future..

Good look to all fellow punters 'ere.. we /he are due some luck... so 'ere's 'oping re this time next year. (You know it makes sense, Mr Trotter)

I actually added a couple of grand to my place holder v small holding here recently, alas.. but at least my bet here remains small .. I feel for those with big bets in play here and hope this finds a way of turning meaningfully up, in due course..

At least Mr Bird gave us some more colour re Silver King and re Morocco Antimony plans. And I'm reasonably enthused by that colour.

It's as much luck as judgement, Tier..... And, trust me, I've given my fair share back on the multitude of other names I bet on in this brutal - but fascinating - AIM game. (although AIM O&G has been kind to me generally, in fairness)
