Approx 6 weeks ago the following was written in the half year report ..

From the 29th Sept half year report:

''The Directors have assessed the working capital requirements for the forthcoming twelve months and have undertaken assessments which have considered different scenarios based on exploration spend on its exploration projects in Zambia, Morocco and Australia until September 2026.

Upon reviewing those cash flow projections for the forthcoming twelve months, the directors consider that the Company is not likely to require additional financial resources in the twelve-month period from the date of approval of these financial statements to enable the Company to fund its current operations and to meet its commitments. The Group will continue to monitor corporate overhead costs on an ongoing basis.''

Fair enough jackbal .. and helps explain the fall from .90p recently .too ...

Fair play on trying to spin that post a bit more positively than negatively btw Ben 'Owell..

It's extraordinarily easy to be negative 'ere in fairness.. and given the recent years low of this s/p was - in round no's - .5p I'm shocked that we're back at around .70p around now .. (In the context of the assets, future cash and POC, I think I that's ridiculously low.. )

It would indeed be a tonic if with get a progressive RNS this side of Christmas.. and towards following your lead of not feeding the negativity, I'll go with, that's possible ... so 'ere's 'oping, Ben 'owell

Generally, the s/p is the benchmark .. and while I want to like AK and also want to see him given every chance; by share price definition his performance so far has been abject, sadly and categorically)

I've just started - small - topping up again here - at 6.11p - and then I look in here and see realist_abroad's words:

'' if the company doesn't improve its communication, governance and transparency, this will keep going down as no sane new investor would touch this stock with a barge-pole given all the games, backroom deals and lack of investor engagement we have lived through these last couple of years...''

I'm not an 'Investor' here, but do have a long history of betting punchily here... so I don't qualify as 'new', in fairness.. but might be approaching qualifying as insane, in further fairness.. but, in my defence, I promise I was very sane before I started playing this AIM game 10 + years ago....

Berenberg starts Jadestone Energy at 'buy'

(Sharecast News) - Analysts at Berenberg initiated coverage on exploration and production firm Jadestone Energy with a 'buy' rating and 68p target price on Thursday, stating the stock was "a jewel in the making".

Berenberg said Jadestone Energy stands out as one of the cheapest companies in its E&P coverage, trading at "a significant discount" to the value of its currently producing assets.

The German bank said Jadestone's production guidance for 2025 implies over 70% growth in output since 2022, and it forecasts further 20% growth by 2027. Importantly, Berenberg said, the production growth generates cost efficiencies, and it also expects to see underlying earnings growth and margin expansion over the medium term.

"In our view, this provides a strong platform as the company looks to continue exploiting organic growth opportunities in the portfolio, as well as pursuing accretive inorganic growth in the Asia-Pacific region," said Berenberg.

Berenberg added that its target price was derived from its net asset value-based methodology, as well as target multiples of 4.0x 2027E enterprise value/EBITDA and 3.5x 2027E enterprise value/debt-adjusted cash flow.

That PI coffee morning a useful gesture, I'd expect. (and best wishes to those here who choose to go to it)

Also, importantly in my mind, is AK and his IR team working very hard at convincing new UK II money to come on board here, via the open market, in the coming months, please.

That absolutely worth a big push thru - the post AGM - 'quieter' early/mid December period for eg .... with any such buying in being much needed towards waking this very lowly s/p up decently/quickly.

The length and breath of the strategy going forward needs spelling out more clearly, I agree

One clear pillar of the strategy previously was buying up O&G assets from Majors looking to exit various African countries.... for a variety of reasons that strategy went badly.... (that may still be one pillar of the strategy going forward?...if it is, I'd add a 'so far' to my previous sentence)

I get that thinking to a pretty reasonable extent for xtr.l, banzai.. not least as a solely dedicated ceo could be supported here from manica forward revenues anyway, and I do think such will be necessary here soonish eg second half 26 or first half 27

( While I have a decent bet in play 'ere, I have a v small bet in play in glr,l too .. and my thinking below applies to that somewhat more than this, granted .. btw I feel the potential sale of one or more of its licences is more likely than, for eg, the potential sale of Bushranger in the next 6 months.... )

Getting NIPCO on board here, and on - very? - favourable terms to NIPCO, is an example that makes me feel that AK has, over recent years, learned - the hard way - that he's got to more wholeheartedly play by the local rules to be successful in Africa.

eg It doesn't work well trying to do it 'your' way in 'their' jurisdiction, it's got to be done their way.. and their way is plenty different to the way AK had learned from his pre save.l business & life experiences (ie Western World business & life modus operandi)

Off the back of such changes in perspective from AK, I'm semi confident that shareholders will, in the round, do better this time over..
