Thanks T, I saw yesterday the headline that their recovery plan had been knocked off course by Covid.
It showed in results they losses more than previous.
You'd guess when things improve shopping wise they will have a chance, is that yet though?
For now I am not really into it, maybe look at their range in a few weeks when price might have fallen some more, perhaps.
Anyway, been in garden as m suspected, such lovely day, not much work being done I am mostly doing a survey of pondlife, frogs and newts and other things.
Morning all, see T you are right I am not dead yet!
Seriously though thanks for your advice I think there is a lot of truth and sense in it.
Muggy and overcast day not my favourite weather.
Anyway hope you all have a good day on this last chance to do so in the week.
Also as I am kind of busy today I wish you all a good weekend in case I cannot later,
I am little hesitant to bore you all with my cardiology stuff today, but as you all were so nice with your support I will.
So it was just a telephone conversation but the guy was a professor so knew his stuff.
Anyway he is not overly worried about me, but is arranging some tests to check things out and make sure or if need be take some action.
As you can imagine things are difficult with covid behindness it will be a while till I get seen.
I am okay with that I guess, I have improved somewhat from when i felt really bad a few weeks back and kind of think if I pay attention and take care plus do a sensible amount of exercise I will carry on feeling better. It will be good to get the tests and know I am okay for certain though.
Haven't looked much at things as have had some other stuff to sort as well, so will look later to see how the shares in my life are.
Thanks and hope you all have a nice evening
Hello and good evening everyone. Have had a couple of awkward days, my mum who we care for has been not great. She is okay but has needed more care and attention than usual. So have not really paid great deal of time to shares and RBB board, just a glance here and there. Yesterday was pretty much a non event day, nothing great up or down. Today is reasonably big time down with some of my bigger holdings losing 2/3% which hurts.Still have had a fairly good time of things lately so cannot complain too much.
T re. SDRY as we have already established my memory cannot be relied on so no wonder I forgot waht I posted and then forgot to invest. I know this problem and make notes which of course I forget to read.
m I miss that thirst quenching and wine quaffing, I have never said I have given up and will drink again when a time comes, just not so regular that it costs me money and health. I did get over the heart thing pretty well and for many months actually felt better. I have lately been going a little backwards, I am told you have a lot of ups and downs after these things. I speak to the cardiologists tomorrow so will have to see what they say. I felt particularly crap 2 months back but have improved since then. It's not like I am really il, just things make me tired far too quickly, a few weeks back a couple of times I had to get picked up when walking the dog as I struggled so much. Now I am more reliable, I might feel the strain but can get home.
A year ago I was in JR on first full day after attack, wondering what would become of me!
I am lucky in many ways to be here posting.
O I think I have mentioned a couple of times that I was unhappy with transfer from EQI to Interactive Investors of a shares ISA.
After reading your sagas it seems it actually went pretty smoothly, so I should have been pleased!
It is definitely a stressful process, at least if Jarvis keep things up it will have been worth it.
T never bought Superdry, I don't think I've expressed on here that I was interested, though weirdly I have been, but done nothing about it. I did mention Superga which makes trainers, which Kate wears, and have bought some of parent co. for them.
V I live near Abingdon so thought I would look up a bit about ABDX, and then found they are based in York, so gave up. Are they a covid/vacs/test bet or something? I had some BVC shares that turned into a covid testing share and did well on them but got out some time back. I have planned top be back in, they also do telecoms, but they have yet to drop to the level I want.
BB doing the usual, so at moment positive day for me, but who knows where it will end.
Sold some RMG, I think I had intended to days back, thought I had but saw today I hadn't, so did!
My memory is not what it was.
Nice evening everyone, don't drink too much beer m.
I have not drunk alcohol for a 15 months now. Hasn't improved my memory as you can see, and also after 3 months of it I had a heart attack, so make sure you drink at least some.
Thanks O, you know I was liking that JLP a while back but ran out of steam in end
N, I never really exactly understand anything about my shares so don't worry about that.
O and S you are forgetting your N's and n's
S I was looking up info for my sister who lives in Houston and is hoping to come over early July, she is being tested before she comes and also has been vaxxed, plus had covid. I must admit it is not especially clear and apparent, the amber or any rules. And of course they are likely to change the rules at a drop of hat. Still it looks for now if you are prepared/returning you can quarantine at home for 10 days but can have that shortened by tests at 5 and I think it was 8 days. You have to have those tests whatever. You need prepare and apply for those tests early, though not clear how early. if I find out more I will post for all here.
The hotel quarantine applies for red countries!
n for nezlob
S and T France is only amber isn't it, if so that quarantine at home with parole if you have a good test from day 5.
In theory now I am marginally in profit today but as BB is up and down like the yoyo I could end up anywhere.
Went a bit wild for me and bought some GSF, and Yellow Cake, from BB sell funds, and some TWD for Mrs n from her money, though she may not know! They are all probably for the long term when am I going to get the hang of this day trading?
Good weekend all, some F1 which always brightens weekend for me.
Morning, not much going on for me today.
Today is a cloudy day as Rosie and Jim would say.
It's also fish and chip day, will be off for them soon.
C nice to see you checking in and everything getting sorted.
V you are right hotels are good and don't breakdown.
Good day everyone!
Evening all, poor day for me though losses not too big.
T did sell some BB but missed the top, my target is C$30 not 30% or so.
Whatever I should have sold more my conservative approach being wrong here I could have sold at C$ dithered and then sold a reduced amount at $22.
AMC puit out some statements warning to be wary of buying their shares and also applied to sell some, this was enough for BB to crash from todays highs. Surprisingly it is hanging on to a marginal increase. I expected it to fall much further and it may do yet.
If not it will hang onto last couple of days gains which is positive for long run.
Welcome back O, did you have the motorhome with gearchange problems or was that V, if it was you was it fixed reliably?
T and m looks like travel will be out there for you guys to do some clever trading tomorrow, saw IAG already down earlier.
Car MOT'd today so was not all bad news for me.
Have a good evening everyone.
One last thing to bore you wirh on BB, hold it on Toronto so price is Canadian currently $18.25 when I am talking. This is a bit higher than NY shares now $15.20.
In compariosn BB up 30% ish yesterday AMC 95%. GME less than $18 beginning of year now $282. BB was $8.5 compared to now $18.25 so you can see though it's tagged in with the other two it actually is not doing anywhere near the same .... not sure that's a good or bad thing!
Thanks T, it already had a bit of a Reddit fit in January so though at the time I was unaware of the Reddit thing, soon got to know. That time not sure it made target but got very close at like 29, sold a couple of bunches in the 20's and have bought back since in the low teens and tens. So have some to play with and if Reddit helps it get to 30 will be out with handsome profit even is slowly gained.
T was already in BB before all that madness which like you I would keep well away from. Blackberry seems to have got stuck on the end of it all, it does go up and crash down but not as extreme as AMC and Gamestock. For me it has real potential in auto's generally and maybe autonomous in particular. So have seen it as long term invest. This volatility so far has been a chance to make a bit on the ups and downs. I have had a very long time now and think if it does hit 30, I will be out entirely
Morning all.
T me too appreciate your early morning summaries, I need something like them to get me going sharewise.
Still not much going as yet today!
All pretty steady.
I now it's a bit off all your radars, but as I have them I have to say BB did pretty good yesterday night finished just over 31% up. Did not sell any, will have to work out what to do soon, they are so volatile could easily go back to low teens or on to 30. Will likely sell a few and hang on to rest and see.
Wishing you a good day, everyone.
N ... Amigo and roulette wheels are out of my comfort zone, so not me.
I see some of you are invested in ARB or at least dabble in it. I see a new one (blockchain outfit) in the risers today, Quantum something or other! I was reading the energy consumption involved in Bitcoin mining is horrific. Is this miniing principally what these Blockchain businesses are about?
Hi all, day just about okay for me a few winners and a few losers.
Though have BB going mad again, up 20% and at nearly $17can., sold 90 yesterday (now regrettably) a little below $14, still have 700 left so that has added £1k to my fortunes right now. Knowing Blackberry it may not last (or maybe will go some more). Will sit tight today I think and hope it's not Reddit messing and so crash down again.
Nice evening everyone, has turned muggy here, so not as nice as recent days.
Morning everyone, looking good outside nice and sunny. I think I heard it is coming to an end soon though if so it has been all to brief.
N, I think I knew you weren't, but as you say builders are good to know. Better luck with your building companies in future, It's hard to see them not doing well with housing market being strong, except maybe in London.
Few things to sort today/this week which I need to get on, MOT on car always a bit stressful, though have a few days spare. New glasses needed and starting house hunting, but very low key and early stage, no viewing yet. Really to see how much money I will need and if I have enough. Looking at some places in Wiltshire, which seems okay. I know there are some rougher bits around Swindon but where I have flat now was once considered rough (North Clapham/edge of Brixton). Now considered (especially Brixton) a great place to live.
Sold a few Blackberry last night, it might have just hit my $14 canadian, but I missed that by a bit but still mad a good profit on little tranche I had only bought at end of March.
Hope it is a good day for all.
