Like you I’m in for first oil and remain supremely confident.

Re share price behaviour, everything is hanging on FID in my opinion. We’re a binary stock. Just look at the volumes. Virtually nothing. Yesterday just £150k of shares traded all by retail investors in a bearish market.

With just 450m shares in issue, once we get news, you won’t be able to get your hands on these for anything under a pound and possibly a lot more. Serica is a great example of how a price can move with some good news.

You’re not alone feeling the pain here and elsewhere.

I’ve got a FTSE 350 fund, Lloyds Bank and Rocky to mention but a few and the whole portfolio is down knocking on 30% since May.

The FTSE100 is loaded with dollar earners and multinationals and fails the show the bear market the rest of us have been experiencing for the last 6 months.

BREXIT has ensured that the UK market continued to look extremely good value. No doubt we’ll follow Wall Street down but with everything so cheap, it won’t be long before a recovery takes hold hopefully bolstered by a BREXIT deal.

Talking of the sun, we must be due a visit from the infamous Borgo any time soon.

I wonder if my post might conjure up an appearance. I always used to quite enjoy his posts albeit he never actually got anything right despite apparently having contacts.....

Two things of note. Double bottom formed so hopefully we can rise from here.

A gentle recovery over the next few weeks would coincide nicely with the Premier update on the 15th when I am sure we will get to hear a whole lot more.

Ah well Carrot, as a fully signed up member to the International Energy Charter, we'll just have to sue the UK government for the costs and future profits from Sealion and the other fields in the Falklands. Should be enough for most of us to retire. Who'd have thought, we invested in oil and ended up as a Litigation company! lol

I won't go into numbers as Grey will probably have a nervous breakdown however we'd be talking about billions of compensation for a project like this.

It’s been common knowledge and has been mentioned by the Execs from both companies on countless occasions that they have been in talks with the UK Government in respect of securing Export Guarantee Funds. I hardly think they would still be talking about it 2 years on if the project didn’t qualify do you?

I’ve worked with the Government and British Business Bank on similar domestic based initiatives and you can rest assured that they will be as keen as anyone to lend.

The Export Guarentee Scheme has total lending capacity of £50 bn. It has only lent £23bn so far. A project like ours getting signed off is exactly the reason they exist and goes some way to them achieving their stated goal of lending a further £27bn.

Guys, IMHO there is no way on God's earth that PMO would give permission for the details of any Sealion related export guarantee information to be in the public domain.

It is Premier's call as to whether information is kept private and indeed states on the site that 'We publish certain information about Category A projects that we are asked to support, in line with the requirements of the OECD Common Approaches, as long as we have the consent of the applicant'.

If (as is rumoured) other parties have approached Premier to potentially farm in, then the Export Credit Guarantee is a dream come true for negotiations for Premier. In other words, we have funding secured through the government so if you want to farm in you had better come up with some pretty excellent terms. If ECG information was published then it could give a farm-in partner information that could help their position.

A much better situation than someone dictating to us because they are the only way the project will get off the ground! I'm therefore not surprised at al that a Commercially sensitive project like Sealion isn't on there.

Watch you don't jump too early and then miss out on the joys of arriving after all these years of patience. I know it's been hard and expensive for all of us but it would be a shame to falter at the final hurdle and hand the spoils over to a greedy institution.

Have a look at Serica Oil to get a view of what the share price can do with the right news. It rose to over a pound on news and has stayed there despite the falls seen over the last couple of weeks.

We've all been there, selling too early and then having to watch a share rise inexorably. It's our timing rather than our ability to spot a unique opportunity which has let us all down here.....

Do a 6 month chart on here and compare PMO and then redraw. You'll see that whatever is happening is effecting us both identically. I wonder if they are about to push the button on Sealion which is taking the PMO share price down and us with it in the absence of news. We are inextricably linked ... something is definitely afoot.
