RE: Nice rise....what exactly is needed for £3-4 per share18 Jul 2020 00:47
Hello all,
I have really been encouraged by all the replies to this thread.
A number of posters have mentioned the mass market potential of this test. I think we can all agree that if we do announce we are looking to produce 10s of millions of tests each month, it could really be a game changer.
I am not sure what the test price will be. Personally £25 felt a bit high to me. £1-12 was put out there, maybe at the mid to higher part of that range might feel more right but who knows. I take someones point about peace of mind for a test. I would pay £25 for Avacta's test. But I am thinking of the global reach to the poorer countries and equity. The fact that equity was on Alistairs mind from the start was a really good thing to hear.
So yes really exciting times. Hopefully we have news in the next few weeks.
The Southampton unit saliva test I mentioned earlier this week came up in the news. That actually helps raise awareness for saliva tests so is actually a good thing. I was a bit worried that we were not moving quick enough at the time. But I think getting the accuracy to the test is vital so investors including myself are willing to be patient as we believe in the end game. With our collaborations and distribution channels we can take the baton on.
