RE: AVCT Reality20 Jul 2020 23:26
Hello Alwayswinning,
Yes and no.
The yes part.
I have been a bit frustrated by the time Avacta took to update the market on the testing accuracy. I am now in a mixed situation. Overall I still believe in Avacta. The fact they want to optimise the rapid test to levels that will give it a real competitive advantage is really reassuring. However, the longer the wait goes for an update the more the nagging doubt that things are not as optimal as we need to be and the accuracy still needs works. The truth is no one really knows.
However, there has certainly been an uptick in the SP over part of last week and this week so it would suggest that the market sentiment is still bullish on Avacta and given the potential then investors are willing to be patient. Look around you at GDR....that tried to test £3 and that price has collapsed to 70p wish.
Given the wait, Cytiva and Medusa are in place. This share has held up incredibly well without any major updates.
The no part.
Therefore onto the second point where I do not agree. Avacta holders have every right to see what happens at SNG and believe their day will come. They have every right to be excited. Why do you think people have been so patient in this share for 4 months and more now? We saw the steady rises up to £2.15 without news prior to the placing. Holders are still here because if the company does deliver on its words and bluster. And right now it is an "if". This company could definitely do a SNG. Maybe not 500% in a day but definitely capable of 200-300% in a day because the market is well informed of the numbers involved in the rapid testing demand. No solution currently exists where you get the result back within 15 mins and it is self administered...combine that with the words Covid19 and this SP will rocket due to market sentiment.
The market is desperate for good news for Covid19. Think about it and I know the market over reacted today on SNG but it was blinking fun. So SNG. They have a potentially amazing treatment but it has only been tested on 101 people. It has not been fully verified by peers. But given its potential it did nearly 500% in a day it actually hit 550% then dropped off after.
So contrast that with Avacta. We have the partner in Cytiva. We have the distributor in Medusa. We have the game changing CONCEPT in rapid affordable easily administered testing. The only thing not confirmed is a product that is 95-98% accurate. If they come out and confirm that rapid strip shows that type of accuracy then Avacta will hit £3-5 in a matter of days off the back of that news. I have no doubt of that. Further if they announce their production number targets that they muted they would work towards then this will blow this SP out of the park.
I am more skeptical than I was but I still think this has huge potential.
The holders here deserve to be rewarded for their patience. And any SNG rises like SNG would be more sustainable in the shor
