Hello all,
Some good posts over the last few days with reasoning on likely takeover offer prices.
Remember we were already steered towards the base price of the offer. The banks involved being on success fee will be looking at offers of £1bn upwards. But even more indicative was the words from the board is to look at the deals in recent years in the industry. That would mean between £1bn to £2bn roughly.
My feeling is anything from 35p-65p and I am being cautious with that range. Obviously it be great to get much more.
The one thing that could significantly increase things is flanks approval as the resource estimates then in the words of the those at the top would take us to the level of a totally 'new ball game'.
The other thing is the pockets of those doing the bidding and how deep they are.
One of the mining companies offered shares for shares as an offer for a company I bought at 5p. By takeover it was 28p but given the bidder company was a strong performing company (Rio Tinto from memory) those 28p at offer price went onto 60s pence for those who kept their shares in the bidding company. So there are many possibilities.
Today was the first real test to see how much strength when the range went to 17-18p and it was answered in strong fashion with many taking the opportunity to top up. With so many invested in this including at institutional level, we have shown strength at 17p-20p range for a while now. It would be nice to see this rise and consolidate up to the 30p mark but equally the amounts people are invested in here then brings another conundrum.
It would be good to get either a resource update or an opening offer so we can build support around the bottom end of an offer at the 30p-35p range ahead of best and final offers.
Happy if the offers were to come in way over that of course.

GDR is also up around 40% on zero news.
So I think it is people putting their SNG profits in Covid stock shares that are now oversold.
Interesting
Not sure if people have moved their profits out of SNG into here ahead of news or whether this is just oversold.
Possible leak ahead of news.
Time will tell
Back on the move again....
Looks like it is taking a bit of a breather. Interesting to see how this one plays out.
Is it just it is oversold? People shoving profits in from elsewhere?
Not sure if there is any news on the way yet
Something seems afoot here.....
Nice post on the fundamentals by Elonmuskthescent. Thank you
*The SP is on the march again
I held off any trading for the first hour. A lot been done to try holding the share but it looks like the weak have been cleared out.
Can people understand that their stop losses are visible on Level 2! So you are showing your hand in a poker game!
Why would you sit down at a poker table and show the other player your cards? It makes no sense
Well some of your points were valid!
But I am still backing Avacta and still holding my shares.

*more sustainable in the short term

Hello Alwayswinning,
Yes and no.
The yes part.
I have been a bit frustrated by the time Avacta took to update the market on the testing accuracy. I am now in a mixed situation. Overall I still believe in Avacta. The fact they want to optimise the rapid test to levels that will give it a real competitive advantage is really reassuring. However, the longer the wait goes for an update the more the nagging doubt that things are not as optimal as we need to be and the accuracy still needs works. The truth is no one really knows.
However, there has certainly been an uptick in the SP over part of last week and this week so it would suggest that the market sentiment is still bullish on Avacta and given the potential then investors are willing to be patient. Look around you at GDR....that tried to test £3 and that price has collapsed to 70p wish.
Given the wait, Cytiva and Medusa are in place. This share has held up incredibly well without any major updates.
The no part.
Therefore onto the second point where I do not agree. Avacta holders have every right to see what happens at SNG and believe their day will come. They have every right to be excited. Why do you think people have been so patient in this share for 4 months and more now? We saw the steady rises up to £2.15 without news prior to the placing. Holders are still here because if the company does deliver on its words and bluster. And right now it is an "if". This company could definitely do a SNG. Maybe not 500% in a day but definitely capable of 200-300% in a day because the market is well informed of the numbers involved in the rapid testing demand. No solution currently exists where you get the result back within 15 mins and it is self administered...combine that with the words Covid19 and this SP will rocket due to market sentiment.
The market is desperate for good news for Covid19. Think about it and I know the market over reacted today on SNG but it was blinking fun. So SNG. They have a potentially amazing treatment but it has only been tested on 101 people. It has not been fully verified by peers. But given its potential it did nearly 500% in a day it actually hit 550% then dropped off after.
So contrast that with Avacta. We have the partner in Cytiva. We have the distributor in Medusa. We have the game changing CONCEPT in rapid affordable easily administered testing. The only thing not confirmed is a product that is 95-98% accurate. If they come out and confirm that rapid strip shows that type of accuracy then Avacta will hit £3-5 in a matter of days off the back of that news. I have no doubt of that. Further if they announce their production number targets that they muted they would work towards then this will blow this SP out of the park.
I am more skeptical than I was but I still think this has huge potential.
The holders here deserve to be rewarded for their patience. And any SNG rises like SNG would be more sustainable in the shor
Thanks all re tips on Faron Pharma

Does anyone now the record rise in a day for a share? This has to be right up there
Also posts in a day on a bulletin board? 2590 posts on a board in a day is insane!
Very exciting day today. Not sure what tomorrow brings
I am surprised one of the scientists on the BBC news was playing down todays massive news. Granted it is a small sample size but the results were staggering!
That is my point though Rich....I am sure many others doubted this company and said that about SNG before they went pop....it is only people sharing information that helps others get involved in them.
Many of the golden finds have been with others sharing companies with potential.
That is my point. We need to share information somewhere on other potential companies.
But each to their own :)
Hello all,
A few posters mentioned the next SNG company earlier today.
Maybe put a few sentences (or even a sentence) on why you believe we need to watch these companies and any key timings coming up.
It can be any industry.

I think he must be going off delayed prices
It be interesting to see what this share opens at tomorrow.
I had a buy going through at 4.29pm where it counts down for 10 seconds and then it said it did not go through grrrr
Still got some left here but I wanted to top up.
So will have to wait for the merry go round tomorrow morning!
It is on the BBC now by the way channel 601
Where are you seeing 214p?
A great day even so
Well done all
He sold his 10% of Apple at $800. That would be worth $95 billion today.
What was worse is he sold the contract showing this mistake above for $500 in the 90s. That contract went on to sell $1.6M in 2011.

Many times in life we have treasure and let it go at the wrong price.
Buy sell or hold. It is your choice but try and research what you are selling first.
I let GKP go at 11p. It went on to £4.50. I didn't realise what I had.

The great thing is when you get ground breaking news is the MMs can give it breathers but not even they can hold it back once the news is out
More news to come. Listen to the webcast to see all the big press who were there today. They will all be putting articles out tomorrow.
Further BBC news are covering all today. As their reporter has been following SNG for months! Might well be lead news by tonight. Oxford Uni is currently leading but I think SNG should be given the potential impact and the 79% results on reducing the odds by 79% of acute covid19 patients getting complications and avoiding death. Hopefully they can get approval and a big Pharma too. I think the US would be interested to team up as would UK collabs too.
Would we expect a big Pharma to help fund next steps?
Interesting times
