Some AIM shares qualify for business relief, meaning they become exempt from inheritance tax once they’ve been held for two years. Business Property Relief, BPR in short. If you hold shares in AIM companies that qualify for BPR for at least two years and still hold them on your death, no IHT should be due.

Thanks for reminding me of that period Hedgehog, I was a LTH for over 10 years until the II's capitulated over the meagre returns when the MC over quadrupled and the SP did very little. These guys run a business, which has nothing to do with what the share price does.
You might wonder why I am here, but I only bought in at 50p for the last drill, as my time at FPM, defined a halving of the SP as a good time to buy - will add at 35p being half of the last raise. Thank my lucky stars for SQZ and i3e as this is a small holding - you LTH deserve a hit on the next drill GLA.

Beware what you wish for, these Directors, like most, are purely about the Company, not shareholders and will dilute hard if a purchase opportunity comes along. Not before the next drill I hope, and will hold for that.

Personally I would like a special dividend, but happy to forgo for capital appreciation. I did review Orcadian Energy with there Pilot Development and a tie in with Parkmead, but with 45% of the shares held by the CEO and 12% by the Tech Director, plus Heavy Crude its probably not a deal that can be swung - interesting concept mind.
i3 Energy, would delight me as its another one of my large holdings, but methinks to big a pill.
