Just to add IJWT, its not a platform but a semi sub FPU thats being tied into. Riser catenaries in these depths are extremely complex and heavy. Interesting non the less, although I would expect Sea Lion to be an FPSO.

I would expect Bruce infill drilling and Kyla development to be slam dunks, adding short term production increases.

Gets a bit tricky when looking at near term licence expiry - Wagtail and Skerryvore - news would be welcome.

Glendronach is a known large discovery, though perhaps Kistos and Serica are awaiting for changes to the EPL.

We are now no longer a little producer with few assets, so difficult to ascertain what infill drilling will occur - it bodes well for Serica to have so many opportunities in house.

Can't disagree with the concept or that it is apolitical.

The hurdle in my opinion is Marram, with implied costs of circa £200-220 million for Phase 1, against an implied capex of £20-35/boe, purely due to the small size of the discovery.

I understand everything else is built on the back of this phase and is an attractive concept with regard to gas storage and perhaps bigger fish are waiting to see if this gets off the ground.

GB Energy taking a position in EPP would be a positive step, but another consideration is Rosebank with a capex around £11-12/boe and 350m boe to produce. Over to Milliband.

It would be good for the country and for Bp, if they announced moving to the New York Stock Exchange and the sale of all Bp North Sea assets.

Each to their own, I added to ITH today rather than SQZ and ECO. Heavily overweight in the latter two, so seemed appropriate to my own risk level., although I should add these are part of a substantial Investment Trust portfolio.

The share price is now back to its sp on the 27th February, the day before Israel/America bombed Iran, when the oil price was $72 a barrel.

With oil still around $97 a barrel, its not a happy picture

With Keir Starmer recently visiting BAE and describing Barrow as a model footprint that many a town should aspire to, its no wonder Barrovians have a jaundiced outlook on economic growth and the betterment of the town. Starmer was flown into Walney aerodrome, chauffeured to the BAE boardroom and then returned to the aerodrome without seeing the town in all its decayed glory.

You would think with over 10,000 employee's in BAE the town would be wealthy, not so, out of towners make up a fair proportion, renting houses of landlords based in Newcastle, Manchester, Preston .

My expectations are if EPP are successful with MESH, mosty employee's will be outsourced similar to Spirit Energy, leaving local jobs of security guards, cleaners and garderners on zero hours contracts to give some economic growth to the town.

I wish EPP all the best with the MESH project - but stop the blarney!

Nick1bro, we had lots of irish licences, not so long back and even hit a non commercial oil discovery on Bandon. Unfortunately Ireland have no interest in any oil or gas plays. Corrib was a nightmare for Shell with the environmentalists.

I'm in SQZ and ITH (the former from the year dot).

Its a pity that Serica didn't spread its wings internationaly. Even if they didn't do an outright bid, but took a holding similar to how Bp had a holding in ourselves. I backed the case by having quite large holdings in ECO and SEA, that have done handsomely and would have rewarded Serica.

The Namibia interest of ECO reminds me of Serica's venture there, with the licences still available or applied for in the Luderitz basin which has seen no interest as all the action is to the south. Nice of Bp to award Serica the Erskine holding as sorry for walking away from Namibia it was a game changer.

Just perhaps this is the final catalyst that removes Mr Milliband from the Energy position he currently holds. One final push would be to infer BP was moving to the NY stockmarket due to Mr Millibands continual misrepresentation of BP's profits.

Interesting all the same, although these internal reviews take place as a matter of course it is timed to perfection. ACW would be rubbing his hands with glee.

As a Barrovian, I am watching with interest on whether this project actyually comes to fruition. The two smaller fields off Walney Island were found originally by Amoco way back in the early eighties if my memory is right. One concept was to place a Jack Up over one field then the other to drill and generate electricty utilising the gas when the wind didn't blow. Great idea, but never came to fruition.

So here's hoping.

We have Kistos in Cheshire utilising Salt Domes for gas storage (36m therms - circa 3.6bcf) - small beer compared to Rough or Marram but still competing with an MC of 270m.

Spirit Energy are presently busy with the Morecambe Gas Fields for carbon storage and may well consider other options, owned 70% by Centrica.

So we have Key Insiders of EPP holding roughly 9% of the shares, with the majority held by retail investors - HL 18.5%, Aberdeen 12.5%, ii 10.5% and IG Group with 9.5%.

It will be interesting to see if this Minnow will survive. Directors will win handsomely but maybe not retail investors

Think you will find that Serica has its hands full with infill drilling this year and is trying desperately to push Skerryvore drill back to 27. Unfortunately that will clash with Licence expiry of the extension.

I wonder if their is some mechanism that allows this if they confirm intention to drill pre licence expiry?????????

All very well if you bought a holding at this price. LTH like myself have capitulated - I'm down to only £15k of losses to offset and fuming at myself for taking up the 9p offer.

Wagtail - Commit to drill an appraisal well, or relinquish the licence with no further commitments by 31 August 2026.

I looked at EPP when it was around 1.7p, but decided it was a bit to speculative for me. It may well be a tasty morsel for a bigger fish, now Spirit Energy has sold its North Sea Assets to Serica Energy .
