If ceramic lining is not reliable at the working temperature of the GH3, either because the required working temperature is too high, or because of reactions occurring with the hot gases, then the GH3 concept becomes worthless. So why do PHE press on, and why do investors continue to shell out. if I was being asked for several hundred thousand £, it would be high on my list of questions. ZOX, of less than happy memory, also folded becuase of , inter alia, ceramic unreliability problems in a process of extracting Zn from furnace dust.
Even of the ceramic proved reliable in continued use at high temperature, I am sure that expensive replacement at regular intervals would be needed, and will add too the cost of operation.
