This bit of kit, wondrous in its simplicity, is leading to the certain extinction of the hit and miss methods of extracting cancer DNA from whole blood. There was a long article in the Times puffing this process earlier in the week, and I guess a large number of researchers have built their career on it. Time to retire, and let Parsortix do an infinitely better job.

When AGL gets FDA approval, as I understand it, this will be specifically for application to breast cancer, and that further submissions have to be made for use in other malignancies, eg prostate, lung, bowel lymphoma etc,. Am I right, or is this FDA approval generic?
in reference to ennombrede, I think that it is unlikely that Parsortix will have a place in health MOTs, as Parsortix picks up circulating tumour cells, which implies metastatic disease, and thus will not pick up primary tumours that have yet to metastasise.

Could the recent SP move, which was sustained during this last week and which was finished off with an 8% rise yesterday, be a hint that there is someone stalking AGL while, as you suggest, the price is not too high? it could . of course, just be that folk are beginning to realise that this simple bit of kit is a complete winner.
I hope it is not taken out as I think there is far more in it for PIs if it stays independent. It is worth remembering that there are a number of very big players who have made links with AGL (can't remember all names just now; but including Abbott, Quiagen, Phillips) who would be reluctant to see their relationship shift from one with AGL to one with another large pharma company that takes over AGL.

I believe that there are some very helpful medications for this condition. GP may be able to prescribe some little blue pills, which if taken regularly, can help. We can always live in hope.....

I have just listened to DRyan in the Edinburgh presentation. He is not a good speaker, whatever his skills as an engineer. His presentation looked very under- rehearsed.lots of umms and ahhs and pauses in the wrong places Either he gets some help with presentation or someone speaks for him. The content is very exciting, the presentation much less so. It is v important for PHE and shareholders that this is sorted.

The first unit is not expected to be complete until Q3, and there must be a period of testing after that. Something that works at 1 tpd may not be quite the same at 25 tpd, and so there may be more wrinkles to smooth before delivery of the first unit. But this RNS surely points to a great deal going on behind the scenes, and I am a little surprised at the SP response. Strong buy at this price IMVHO

I think the matter of charging times will remain a problem. Rather than charge the car batteries at a charging station, why not load the hydrogen into the car; this takes a much shorter time?

Parsortix captures tumour cells or clusters thereof and can be applied to all tumours that metastasise. To be able to isolate tumour cells is the gigantic advance in this simple bit of kit. ( I hope it is patented up to the eyeballs). Others firms have struggled to isolate DNA from dead cancer cells in the bloodstream, a technique that is difficult and which is not remotely as useful, or easily aspplicable as the Parsortix kit. A number of pharma firms in the cancer field are very interested, and are already collaborating with AGL; viz QIAGEN's downstream AdnaTest gene expression analysis.
Note also that parsortix has also isolated foetal stem cells from blood. which is of value to those in the filed of stem cell treatments.

AGL is yet to submit an application for FDA approval, and I am not sure about MHRA either. Parsortix facilitates guided use of chemo. Stick to facts,please.

While yesterdays RNS is very exciting, the work performed in Basel remains basic research with mice. The next step is to confirm that clusters of CTCs can be inhibited in humans, with drugs that already have FDA approval. problem is that we do not know if the drugs mentioned, (Na + /K + ATPase inhibitors for example) are effective at doses that are tolerated by humans. All this may take plenty of time. So I am not amazed that the SP has retraced, as this particular advance will not be translated into revenue anytime soon. Nevertheless, it is yet another piece in a fantastic jigsaw.
Parsortix remains my biggest holding, and I am prepared to be very patient!.
