RE: Bought a short-term trading position9 Mar 2023 20:02
I hear talk about acquisition as last chance to rescue a sp destined to go down..
Be careful what you whish, markets are not so naïve to by in to tricks of acquisitions. All assets out there are priced to perfection at face value and noting comes for free...IMV news of acquisition will decimate the sp right now.
HBR as assets outside the UK they need to invest and in due time value will trickle down to sp...
For now with booked profits for 2023 tax provisions, we don't have a measure on how profitable HBR is at what price, including all the variable on edging, POO and tax rates....and what happened to offsetting costs incurred on NS capex...no info on that front either. Very murky results , this was a gamble that Linda tuck (tax provision) which so far as not back fired hoping with some share buy back to support the sp.
Hmmmmm lower production for 2023 and the ever important POO....Honestly can't see much upside chase for HBR.
BTW stupid me that I should do a bit more research....didn't know till recent that Tax Levy had increased to 35%, I was shocked when I found out ....am I correct in assuming the NS production will carry a 75% tax? wow
