For me, the current biggest uncertainties are:

1. How conflicts in the the Middle East & Ukraine pan out

2. What the Fed does with interest rates in the coming months

3. Who wins November's US Presidential election

Until those issues are resolved, it's a braver man than me who dares call it with SMT (or any other investment come to that).

This explains how plain useless brokers are. They set ridiculously high price targets. Then when a company disappoints & the share price naturally falls, they set a new lower - but still ridiculously high - price target.

Frankly, they're all a total waste of space.

That Incanthera were worried IMM would have to instantly sell some of their warrants at a discount simply underlines my point that IMM would have been seriously strapped for cash, had it exercised now.

Pokerchips - how can I be wrong saying "exercising now would have run cash down to around £400k" when today's RNS clearly states: "However, the Board did not feel it would be prudent to have deployed c£691k of the Company's funds in exercising the Warrant in the period ended 6 September 2024 (the end of the previous expiry period)."

Bagzzz718 - one minute you're saying the share price could go anywhere: "where will the SP stop by day end…..lots of guesses I’m sure but nobody knows!"

The next: "Another great, and unexpected, opportunity to get in low, just before we hit 93p".

So now we know. Despite it being guesswork.

Goldgirl - the only reason cash balance was £1.1m as at 30 June 2024 (v. 30 June 2023: £0.2m) is because they sold their entire INC holding.

The INC warrants remain exercisable for now. But they're effectively gambling £75k on Incanthera's share price being higher on 31 March 2025 than now.

Given the dearth of updates up until now, this morning’s feels very light on detail.

All we’re basically told is that “significant progress” has been made & that there’s enough cash to keep the lights on for at least another 7 months.

Extending the Incanthera warrants makes sense, as exercising now would have run cash down to around £400k. But they’ve had to shell out£75k for the privilege & the extension only lasts another 7 months. I’d have liked to see them negotiate at least a 12 month extension for that sort of money.

If I wanted a random number generator to forecast share prices, I’d go out & buy one. But as they’re random, they’re utterly useless.

Hawker - could you remind us exactly when "the company’s transitioning from loss to profit" happened? Or is even looking likely to happen? Sorry, but it seems to have passed the rest of us by.

Whether posters here think Hex is undervalued or not is largely irrelevant.

Of course Bo isn’t going to say in an interview that the company he owns a large stake in is overvalued. Who ever heard of any Director doing that?

The only valuation we can be sure of currently is the one the market attaches to it.

That’s not to say it won’t change over time. But IMHO it reflects the current risks as well as the potential upside more accurately than some of the over-exuberant contributors to this BB.

MasksNewNorm - I get the enthusiasm, but it's beginning to come across like you're trying to convince yourself.
