CyanConnode's " Competition " are mentioned quite a lot on this bb. But we are are not talking about France. We are talking about India.

So it would seem that CyanConnode have been using FG12 until now, but are now making the transition to FG25.

Your observation about " ..... private ..... ". I have read the passage that you highted and maybe it's the perception that someone from India has about CyanConnode.

In the UK, as I think you have suggested, CyanConnode is a PLC company. But in India, CyanConnode may be viewed as not being under any state control, thus it may be viewed as " .... private ..... ".

Just a thought.

Thank you for the information on Indonesia. Very interesting.

It looks initially like a pilot project of 50,000 smart meter Retro-Fits, in pre-selected areas in Jakarta, that have historically " ...... resulted in meter readings being both challenging and expensive."

It will be interesting to read any feed-back from the project as it develops.

What was the outcome?

I mentioned in my post at 14:21 yesterday, that I would not expect and Cellular competitor, or any other competitor to give up any of their market share, without a fight. The tendering process is where some of the battles are fought. In my opinion.

The Omnimesh Cellular solutions, developed by CyanConnode and released during 2018, I think, are an option for CyanConnode in certain circumstances. I do not know what the circumstances are specifically - terrain/buildings, etc., - but the option is there.

The exact SLAs for Cellular, I cannot recall, but they may vary with each individual Cellular provider, within different terrains.

Indore was a very successful project for CyanConnode and Partners. As was the fore-runner, the IPv4 project in Mysore, which set the bar at new heights until the IPv6 projects set the bar even higher. I do not know how the " ...... Indore installs of residences and Feeders ...... " were constructed, of if they were a " .... mixture of Cellular/RF....." Nor do I know who installed the Cellular.

I believe the last paragraph in you 11:56 post, I have answered within my second paragraph of this post, which is the way I view it.

As we are able to gradually join the dots, a clearer picture begins to appear. The 40% Rs 5259.73 crore loan equates to, I think, approximately £503,934,731.00. As that is only 40% of the total project cost, the overall project cost I think is estimated at approximately £1.26 billion.

The estimated population of Maharashtra is approximately 126 million.

It looks like there is another Company on the Zeus/CyanConnode's Customer and Partner page, that has been added to the REC Empanelment List, that I have noticed from the 29/08/2023 empanelment update.

That being Capital Power Systems Ltd.

They seem to provide electricity, gas and water smart meters, but only show a requirement for a Cellular option, on the REC Empanelment List, at the moment.

The list so far, of CyanConnode Customers and Partners on the REC Empanelment List is as follows:-

Good afternoon Vas and all,

I do not remember CyanConnode or anyone connected to CyanConnode predicting that they will achieve a market share of 35% for RF.

Zeus have confirmed this year, that:-

" Recent developments in the market indicate CyanConnode could conservatively achieve a 20% market share despite the company achieving higher levels to date. Its unit win rate of tenders from April 2022 to January 2023 was 38% and its share of units installed to date, is 25%."

While remaining optimistic about CyanConnode's future prospects, I would not expect any Cellular providers, or any other competitor, to give up any of their market share without a fight. And I don't expect they have done so, in the past.

So any RF segment of a tender/contract that is won by CyanConnode, is a portion of a competitors pie. In my opinion.
