There are two States that have been promoted initially to the Awarded status, since the July Newletter. They are:-

- Andhra Pradesh - APCPDCL, APEPDCL AND APSEPDCL - for 27 lakh meters ( 2,700,000 )

- PAN India - PGCIL - for 50 lakh meters ( 5,000,000 )

- The project for DVVNL for 62 lakh meters ( 6,200,000 ) has dropped down from being Awarded, from the July Issue to being " L1 Decided/LOA under Award " in the August Issue.

The list of Partners/Utilities/Meter Manufacturers/Infrastructure Providers that are now/have been, knocking on CyanConnode's door is very impresive, for a Company the size of CyanConnode.

......... also has, Vas, Techno Electric as a supplier at number 33 on the list, showing a Cellular only communication.

Allied Engineering, were " ..... subcontract of meter supply ..... ", also mentioned in the link I posted at 11:45, are not on the empanelment list as far as I can see, at the moment. Dongfang Electronics were to provided the RF communications, but whether they did or not, at the end of the day, I do not know.

But Dongfang Electronics were one of the companies used within the NSGM pilots in India some years ago, in which Cyan(Connode) were involved.

But, water under the bridge now, as the old saying goes. Although it will be interesting to see, if CyanConnode and Partners are aligned with Techno Electric for another tender, how it pans out. lthough I would think that there will be less wriggle room, with more checks and balances under the RDSS tenders, to eliminate any potential problems going forward, prior to the contracts being awarded.

But also lesson learnt, as it hasn't hampered CyanConnode's progress since.

techno electric were part of the tender awarded to l****n&toubro/cyanconnode, which hit the headlines, for all the wrong reasons during july 2020. no wrong-doing i might add, on either l****n&toubro or cyanconnode's part.

So a very comprehensive suite of Omnimesh solutions, that are now/have been available on the market for a few years, that can accomodate many different meter manufacturers/utilities/infrastructure providers, within different global locations.

As Genus Power Infrastructure seem to have aligned themselves with both Cellular and RF Technologies, on the REC Empanelment List, I agree that CyanConnode can at some point, offer Genus and other Partners, a Cellular/RF solution. If they have not already done so.

But interesting times ahead, I am sure we all agree.

Multibagger also mentions a tender that Genus Power has won in Maharashtra, that is mentioned on Page 3 of the document. Do not know exactly which one it is, as the panel are not specific with there information, for maybe obvious reasons.

As mentioned in the Zeus report - The smart choice - dated 7th March, 2023 - CyanConnode's acknowledged group of competitors are the " ..... local cellular technology providers."

Here is a list of telecom/wireless/cellular and mobile providers who CyanConnode and Partners effectively have to compete against, as well as the individual Meter Manufacturers and Infrastructure Providers, who are also competing for smart meter tenders/contracts, which may be of interest.

Good morning all,

When Cyan(Connode) first started to look to develop RF in India, I seem to remember that Zigbee 2.4GHz was the globally accepted solution of choice at that time. with very little or no RF of consequence in India.

But Zigbee are still being used I believe, within the UK Smart Meter programme, in some capacity.

So to achieve between 20%/25% of the installed smart meter base in India, at the moment, from a standing start, is a significant achievement from my point of view.

The developed global world markets for smart meters, and some have been mentioned today, in USA, China, Canada, etc., will soon be aspiring to the " ... next generation .... " of smart meters. As they are in the UK at the moment, with SMETS2.

So besides the technical advances and advantages of upgrading to Wi-SUN 25 from Wi-SUN 12, through the collaboration with Silicon Laboratories, the possible/potential strategic postioning of CyanConnode with the smart meter markets in the Americas and potentially globally, is very real. In my opinion.
