From the report, dated October 20th, 2023:-

" REC Limited has signed an memorandum of understanding ( MoU ) with the Bank of India ( BoI ) to explore the possibility of funding the power sector and infrastructure and logistics sector projects under the consortium arrangements.

" REC and BoI will partner and co-finance loans amounting to Rs 300 billion for projects implementable in five years. The collaboration will contribute significantly to the state's power generation capacity and energy infrastructure"

So it would seem that the smart energy and power infrastructure sectors over-all, may get some considerable finance support, over the coming years.

Thank you for the heads-up on the proposed IntelliSmart tenders.

I cannot access the full tender list at the moment, for some reason, but the first five look interesting. 2 for Tamil Nadu - TANGEDCO and 3 for JdVVNL - Rajasthan, which can be found on the NSGM Smart Meter-Stats-All report I posted a couple of days ago.

But good to know that IntelliSmart are at the front end of potentially a 34 million smart meter opportunity, overall.

What prompted me initially was that only circa 80 million smart meters have been Awarded, as per the NSGM Smart Meter Stats All report, dated October 6th, 2023.

But it is encouraging that circa 230m Smart Meters out of 250m Smart Meters, have already been Sanctioned and circa 7m Smart Meters have been installed. So good news I feel. With CyanConnode as we understand it, being in a fairly strong position at the moment.

The eventual market share for specifically Genus Power, is yet to be determined, I might suggest. Especially with other big hitters like Schneider Electric still to pick up some traction and others, as well as the other Infrastructure Companies and End Users, that have still to declare which meter manufacturer they will use.

So early days yet and plenty to play for. Which is the same for every Company involved with the India Smart Meter Programme.

Can you please clarify something for me Vas, if you get the * .... that's 175m smart meters currently from the 250m being awarded ..... " by using the " 70% market share in smart meters " as a percentage of the 250m?

Tata Power and GMR were both awarded contracts for Smart Meter projects during July 2023. Tata Power was reported on the 12th July 2023 and GMR was reported on the 17th July, 2023.

I have re-posted many opinions from different posters on ADVFN, that I think may be of interest to the posters on LSE. And will continue to do so.

But if you want to re-post any part of your 16:20 post on ADVFN, I am sure that you know someone on this bb, that will do it for you.

As far as dual-posting on LSE and ADVFN is concerned, I have never had the time, or the intention to do so. As I said earlier, I have only ever had my feet in one camp and that suites me fine.

Posters say a lot of things on these bulletin-boards and then they will contradict themselves with the passage of time, as the situation changes.

But as one poster commented on ADVFN, about a week ago, " There's a lot of chaff posted on the other board by two posters in particular. Best to ignore it all I find."

Sound advice I also find. Especially if you do not know who you are communicating with. I am sure you understand my meaning.

But if I remember correctly, the share-price started its rise about 3 years ago from 1.5p, before reaching the dizzy heights of 29p.

So something to luck forward too again - 29p that is. And beyond, of course.

..... I don't think there was ever any rot. Just a lull before the storm, as the saying goes. But there has been a change in the weather, forecast for CyanConnode's prospects for some time now, which is encouraging in itself.

So I will stick for the long-range weather forecast, whatever it brings, rather than any short-term, day-to-day weather fluctuations.
