For a bit more clarity on my point of view, I think the banks/infrastructure companies/etc., will be investing in the individual projects directly, not directly in the individual companies involved in each project. Whether that is considered to be part of each consortium, is open to interpretation.

Although, as an AMISP, I would think that CyanConnode/DigiSmart will be in control of the funds that need to be distributed to sub-contractors, through the funds received from the banks/infrastructure companies.

But as I have said before, we will have to wait and see how the contract unfolds and how much detail is made public. But I am sure that CyanConnode/DigiSmart, have got their fingers on the pulse, as the saying goes.

In the first part of your post, at 11:38 this morning, you mention " ... does the consortium not include a bank." Further into your post you state " Banks form the consortium .... " as if you already know the answer. Please clarify.

In answer to your other point " ..... why do we need discussions on future/further funds ...... " I will give you my opinion.

These AMISP projects, specifically, are of higher value, so will need more funding per contract. The funding being negotiated for the Goa project, will be used for the Goa project. If CyanConnode/DigiSmart are Awarded another potential AMISP contract, separate to the Goa contract, I would suggest that a separate " .... pot of funding ..... " by a different Bank/Infrastructure Investment Fund etc., would be required/negotiated.

Which brings us back to what John Cronin mentioned in the Directors Talk Interview, earlier today about " Talking to various Infrastructure Investment Funds, mainly in India, for India, with potential investment in India, as well as DigiSmart, for the Goa Project and potential other projects, also."

So these AMISP contracts could/will be separate, individual negotiations, tailored to the individual project for size and complexity. But we will have to wait and see the structure of each individual contract, as it unfolds and as it is presented to share-holders.

Just my opinion tonyj.

And as I have said before, raising money for expansion, is different to raising money for survival. This type of funding, through Banks/Infrastructure Investment Funds etc., should not be dilutionary. Also, in my opinion.

I posted some information on the bb recently, from information prompted by gizmo, about Iberdrola and Scottish Power, who were raising £600m, as a finance package, in a total project investment of £1.35bn, which included 7/8 institutions/Banks, to fund an upgrade of the British Electricity Grid.

So it is not surprising, but it is reassuring and encouraging, that CyanConnnode/DigiSmart has the confidence of these larger investors, to back such projects.

..... /Goa/Directors Talk Interview - there is some very interesting points clarified within the interview, by John Cronin, on CyanConnodes market share in India - discusses the Goa contract - Indonesia and Malaysia mentioned - provision of smart meters ( by others ) and interestingly, future funding.

Not word for word, but it can be listened to on the video - John Cronin mentions that CyanConnode are talking to various Infrastructure Investment Funds, mainly in India, with the potential investment for CyanConnode India as well as for DigiSmart, for the Goa project and for other potential projects, also.

So a very encouraging interview, I found.

Is this what you were referring to, gizmo? It would seem that many larger companies need some sort of funding to take part in these global smart meter/smart grid projects. With national Governments, international Banks and international lenders, jostling to invest in the future.

From the Goa " Letter of Award " RNS this morning:-

" This confirms the contract award and the next step is for a Formal Work Order to be issued, after which the project will commence ".

So there seems to be a set procedure for the full implementation of an AMISP contract, that being - Letter of Intent/Letter of Award/Formal Works Order - and then " ...... the project will commence ".

We will have to look out for these individual progressions, to see if they happen on any other potential, CyanConnode/DigiSmart/AMISP contract(s).

But very encouraging indeed.

The CyanConnode " Board and Leadership " information has been updated, with Bjorn Lindblom now None-Executive Chairman and John Cronin is Group CEO and Chairman of India.

It is good to know that John Cronin's experience in developing the Indian smart meter market thus far, has been recognised by this additional inclusion in his responsibilities and title.

I notice that Ajoy Rajani has always been Executive Vice Chairman India. So the appointment of John Cronin as Group CEO and Chairman India, may have been on the cards for some time.

Confirmation that John Cronin " .... will transition from Executive Chairman to Group Chief Executive Officer ( CEO ) ", with Bjorn Lindblom taking up the role of Non-Executive Chairman.

John Cronin started taking Cyan/CyanConnode on a journey some years ago, a journey that is to continue, it would seem, with Bjorn Lindblom at the helm. I have met Bjorn on a few occasions and I would say that the Company is in safe hands. As it also was, previously.

Bjorn Lindblom commented:-

" The business is entering a transformational phase and anticipates substantial growth in coming years. Now is the right time to strengthen governance and enhance Board independence."

John Cronin commented:-

" We are delighted that Bjorn is taking up his new role as independent Non-Executive Chairman. His deep industry experience and long-standing knowledge of the Company will be invaluable, as we move forward. This decision also enables me to focus on driving the operational development of the business."

John Cronin has been putting the building blocks in place of the CyanConnode Group, for some years now, taking CyanConnode to various global regional locations, for future expansion and overseeing the development of the various CyanConnode solutions, with a strong, global potential.

It is interesting tonyj, that the DigiSmart Networks LoI, is priced in Pounds Sterling, rather than Dollars or Rupees. So no conversion required. On a personal note, it would be helpful if that continued.

Also on a personal note, as a guestimate, I am guided by a 60%/40% split. Give or take. 60% over 27 months and 40% over 93 months. So as far as the Goa £70m LoI project is concerned, that would mean approximately £1.5m per month, over a 27 month installation phase of the project and approximately £300k per month over the 93 month Support & Maintenance phase of the project.

The actual percentages applied may be different, but it gives me personally, something to work with.

But as you have already pointed out, tonyj, this may only be a small project. We will have to wait and see what happens from here on in. But more LoI's, would be welcome.

I do not recall Cyan/CyanConnode having " ... a relationship with Iberdrola .... ", as you put it. Certainly not in recent years. Cyan/CyanConnode have been more active in Northern Europe, because of the Connode connection, rather than the markets towards Southern Europe, of France and Spain.

But there is lots of information on their markets/collaborations/countries where they operate, available, on the web.

A very diverse, global Company.

The MonteCarlo and Partners installation in Maharashtra has increased by a further, circa 393k+, with the total number of smart meters installed in Maharashtra now at 1,956,551, with a total for April 2025 installation figure of 767,061 smart meters.

The MonteCarlo and Partners installation in Madhya Pradesh, has increased by circa 24k+, with the total number of smart meters installed in Madhya Pradesh, now standing at 905,868, with a total installation figure for April 2025, coming in at 51,383 smart meters.

There are other smart meter installation increases, of circa 10k+, 20k+, 30k+, etc., which contribute to the overall smart meter installations increase, for April 2025 installations.

There has been no overall increase in the number of smart meters Sanctioned or Awarded, since the last update, but the overall number of smart meters installed has increased to 27,730,675, an increase of circa 1.2m+. The monthly installation figure for April 2025, has increased to 2,627,596, also an increase of circa 1.2m+.

So encouraging smart meter installation figures overall, I feel.

An interesting collaboration between India and Saudi Arabia, which I am sure will be an advantage to both regions, in the future.

Interestingly, CyanConnode also have an interest in both regions, with the UAE office opening recently in Dubai, as well as the India office in Haryana.

The Company secured its largest contact to date ( 6.5m units with a global Partner ) on 28 August, 2024. Then on 14 April, CyanConnode's subsidiary, DigiSmart Networks Pvt, was issued a Letter of Interest ( LOI ), valued at c. £70m from the Government of Goa's Electricity Department, to deploy approximately 750k smart meters. As a result, the Company's order-book ballooned from approximately £50m, as at 31 March, 2024, to about £180m, with the majority of revenue still expected to be recognised over the next two to three years. The Company expects strong growth in deployments and revenues in FY26. CyanConnode's revenue opportunities in India, are still at an early stage and should multiply over the long-term."

An encouraging report overall, I feel.

" Still a highly potential market: The long-term market opportunity in India, remains strong and the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme ( RDSS ) continues to advance, even with the delays discussed above. As at 1 April, 222m smart meters were Sanctioned, near the 250m initially targeted by the scheme. 138m units were Awarded, up 25% from a year earlier and, moreover, cumulative deployments rose by 14.7m to 25.2m, from 10.5m a year ago, according to data from the Ministry of Power of India. Daily installations have increased from c. 16k in mid August 2024, to c. 89k per day in April 2025. The Government of India has expanded the target deployment of smart meters, from 250m to 330m."

So there is some positive news, within todays disappointment.
