Confirmation report out today, concerning EnergyChap's post from Wednesday 16th September, 2020, with some additional information.

From today's report:-

" EESL's figures show that discoms using smart meters have experienced an average 21% increase in billing efficiency, which is now averaging around 95% and reduction in losses between 11% to 36%."

Heather did go into some detail on the RNS information given out by the Company. A brief description ( not word for word ) of the answer:-

- We would like to put out more information, but it is not only share-holders who read RNS's. Other customers may look at this. The competition may read the RNS's. We do not want to give out to much information about numbers of units and value. It may come down to an NDA. We send the RNS's to our Partners to get their permission, sometimes they do not want their name mentioned and the details disclosed. And sometimes they will provide a quote. CyanConnode have to view the the overall commercial sensitivity of the information.

Thank you for the report. It is good to know that the Ministry of Power is further getting behind the funding of the Indian Smart Meter Roll-out, with other entities within India.

CyanConnode mentioned recently, that the World Bank, Macquarie and Eversource were also looking to get involved somehow with the funding. And also using, I think, Special Purpose Vehicles ( SPV's ) as part of the secure funding. Which you may have heard of previously. But personally, I had never come across SPV's before.

Still, as long as it get's the projects up and running, that is the main thing.

The Directors could not purchase shares beforehand, as it turns out, because of the impending announcement of the MPWZ contract. This " .... significant contract ...... " sounds like it could be something different. It could be down to the individuals interpretation of a " .... significant contract ..... "

If it is another contract and it may or may not be, but if it is, then I would suggest that the Directors would enter a period where they are not expecting to announce any further contract news. I believe that is a period of 28/30 days? Is it a " Closed Period?"

But the Director share purchases were unexpected and welcome.

But that is only my opinion.

An observation of yours, that on this occasion I tend to agree with.

From the Final Results report:-

" During 2020, as existing contracts started to roll-out, the Company began to utilise Letters of Credit to meet its working capital requirements, thereby mitigating the need to raise further funding. The Company is focused on delivering significant volumes of its products to customers and we are pleased to report that we are at an advanced stage of agreeing a significant contract for a large number of units."

So this acknowledgment by CyanConnode, seems as though it is a completely new contract/tender, not the continuing roll-out for MPWZ, that todays order seems to be.

Time will tell.

" We are delighted to receive this large order, which will be our first order using a Hybrid, CapEx + Opex, payment model. This is the third consecutive order from MPWZ, which demonstrates both our technical excellence, as well as our ability to deliver projects efficiently. After seeing the benefits of the Omnimesh enebled smart-meters at Indore City, MPWZ is now expanding the deployment to five other cities of the state."

MPWZ must see some benefits in using the CyanConnode Omnimesh solution after all.

I seem to remember Beijing Instruments being mentioned during the video presentation and there was also a couple of new Chinese companies ( at least to me ) highlighted on the Companies/Partners slide.

They were Shenzen Kaifa Technology and Shenzen Friendcom Technology, the details of which I posted earlier today. I did here China mentioned, as you say, but we will have to wait and see if anything/what develops.
