I agree, just a general update/appraisal of the progress being made for MPWZ and Thailand. But very welcome.

From the CyanConnode RNS, dated 23rd March, 2020:-

" Delivery of the Omnimesh RF Modules, ordered in December 2019, which are being integrated into Forth's meters, will commence in May 2020. The RF Modules will use the narrow-band frequencies of 442MMHz and 447MMHz, which have been allocated to Utilities by The National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission ( NBTC ) of Thailand and the required NBTC certifications are progressing as expected."

This is also a significant confirmation, in my opinion, for the CyanConnode solution, in that it has the facility to be able to operate at different regional bandwidths, successfully.

Thank you for the tweet update on Thailand 2cv. It is appreciated and welcome, very interesting news.

" Installation in a 42 floor tower block is nearly complete ........ " It is good to see confirmation that the CyanConnode solution is as effective going upwards, as it has proven to be going horizontal.

We have had snippets of news over the years about tower blocks and penetration through concrete walls, but this seems like a significant confirmation of the progression of the solution. In my opinion.

Glad to hear it ( that you are fine ) and yes, I am keeping well too, thank you. And as you say, there is not a lot of news about anywhere at the moment, so the CyanConnode MPWZ tweet was appreciated.

But the additional, excellent news from Oxford/AstraZeneca was also a welcome uplift for the week. Hopefully by the middle of next year, we will have some breathing space. With a few limitations of course, for a while yet.

" The ADB loan will be used to improve power quality and upgrade the distribution network with the aim to provide uninterrupted, quality, reliable and affordable power supply, to all consumers.

" Although Meghalaya has achieved 100% electrification, the state's per capita electricity consumption of 832KWh, is low compared to the national average of 1,122KWh in 2017 and remote rural areas in the state suffer from frequent power interruptions. Distribution networks are overloaded and substations in rural areas use outdated technology, resulting in high aggregate technical and commercial ( AT&C ) loses.

" Some 23 substations will be constructed and 45 substations will be renovated and modernized.

" Up to 2,214 kilometers of distribution lines will be installed and up to 180,000 electromechanical meters will be replaced with smart meters.

" The loan will be supplimented by a $2 million grant from ADB's Japan Fund for Poverty Reduction. This grant will finance mini-grids that will improve power quality and support income generation, especially for women and other socially disadvantaged groups, using renewable energy sources in three villages and three schools.

" The project will help develop a distribution sector road map and a financial road map for Meghalaya Power Distribution Corporation Limited ( MePDCL ).
