RE: Bharti Airtel ..........5 Dec 2022 14:08
No problem tonyj,
There was initial interest, some years ago, from independent utilites/companies, for RF technology, despite the initial cost outlay, as compared with cellular. These independent utilities and other companies, coupled with the success of the early Cyan(Connode) projects, I would say influenced the Indian Government and other utilities, to change their opinion of RF technology, overall.
The new Contracting Framework Agreement, recently introduced for the Indian Smart Meter Roll-Out Programme, allows the utilities to spread the initial out-lay, thus hopefully contributing to gradually paying for the o/a project, from any increased contributing revenues, from recently installed smart meters.
The approximate " 80%/20% " split ( 20% being the approximate CyanConnode contribution to the installed smart meter base, at the moment, in India ) confirms the advances that CyanConnode has made, over the last few years, so far.
All in my opinion, of course.
