Quite a list.

As far as the " .... CyanConnode will provide 3 million smart meters ..... " is concerned, I see that as possibly the " key partner " within the Framwork Agreement, does not manufacture smart meters and is tapping into CyanConnode's ecosystem of Manufacturing Partners to fulfill the contract.

Whether that will be the same Manufacturing Partner to fulfill the total 3 million smart meters, or whether it will be spread between a number of Manufacturing Partners, is yet to be made public.

Bur still great business for CyanConnode.

No problem. Multibagger mentioned a possibility on Friday, in answer to derek ten bag, one which I subscribe to, that there are contracts being carried out that are " legacy contracts " that as multibagger puts it, have been " morphed/re-badged."

During 2017/2018, I think originally there were 3 multi-million meter tenders, for electric meters. 2 for 5 million units each and 1 for 10 million units. These were never really fully implemented. But the possible " morphed/re-badged " of the original tenders, was probably more politically acceptable, than to " lodge " the contracts, as they did with the original TNEB tender, that Cyan(Connode) were involved with.

But with the introduction of IntelliSmart and the NIIF, a couple of years ago, along-side EESL, it has stabilized the whole smart meter programme/industry, not only for the Indian Government politically, but also for utilities, meter manufacturers, other associated Companies and investors alike.

Within my post yesterday, at 15:59, 3rd February, 2023, there was a report dated March 1st, 2022, that confirmed that EDF had reached a 500,000 smart meter milestone in India ( Bihar.) The original contract was awarded to EDF and Accenture, by EESL, during October, 2018, as part of an overall project for the deployment of 5 million smart meters. I also commented that I did not know of another state that EDF were deploying smart meters in.

Today, 4th February, 2023, at 11:53, I posted a tweet from EDF, dated 27th January, 2023, confirming that they had installed and commissioned 1,175,000 smart pre-paid meters in Bihar.

There is also a post from me at 18:18 on Friday 3rd February, 2023, showing a report from October 5th, 2022, concerning the " .... 5 million smart meter milestone ...... " achieved in India. The report confirms some overall figures in which States smart meters have been installed and highlights that Bihar installed almost 1.11 smart pre-paid meters, as of 5th October, 2022, when the report was published.

There was also a post from me at 19:50 on Friday 3rd February, 2023, that confirms that 5 million smart meters deployed in India, as of 30th September, 2022 and also a post at 20:19, on Friday 3rd February, 2023, from the National Smart Grid Mission that confirms various installation figures from various States and confirms Bihar at circa 1.3 million installed.

So having done my own research, there should be enough information within my last few posts, over the last 2 days, to answer your question.

But answering you directly, at the moment, I believe EDF, are only involved in the 5m smart pre-paid meter contract, in Bihar, for which they have had the contract since 2018.

I remember posting this report previously, which may be of some help.

On March 1st, 2022, Smart Energy International reported that EDF had installed 500,000 smart pre-paid meters, in Bihar. Further in the report they indicate a figure averaging 1,300 installs a day.

11 months since the 500,000 target was reached, avarage 31 days per month, equals 341 days x 1300 a day smart meter installations since then, equals an additional 443,300 in Bihar, making a total, approximately of 943,000. Roughly.

Where the other 4 million comes from, I have no idea. Unless EDF are installing in other than Bihar, which I do not recall reading about. But I may have missed it. But the report does mention that " The milestone marks the completion of the latest phase of what will be a 5 million smart meter deployment by EDF and Accenture in India."

So the 5,000,000 meter project, looks as though it is part of an ongoing project, in Bihar, for EDF and Accenture.

The report gives some back-ground to the project in Uttar Pradesh and confirms the interest of some high profile infrastructure companies and meter manufacturers, that submitted an interest in various segments of the tender, which may be of interest.

The overall potential for electric meters, according to the report, could be quite substantial.
