Good morning tonyj and all,

You may remember tonyj, that John Cronin referred to States being " sticky " once you have successfully contributed a smart meter project. I would think that the Strategic Framework Agreement, delivered on Monday 6th February, 2023, is hopefully a confirmation of that stickyness. But what State/Utility/Meter Manufacturer/or other, it actually refers too, is yet to be identified.

There are a number of States to choose from, that CyanConnode and Partners have successfully delivered smart meter projects for, over the years.

Tonyj, I seem to remember that CyanConnode received an order originally, from Larson & Toubro ( L&T ) for Indore, which as we are aware, is now Schneider Electric. So in answer to your question, I would say it was Schneider Electric ( L&T ) who were the lead in Indore.

And as we are also aware, the various Indore projects have gone very well, for both Schneider Electric and CyanConnde.

Your second question, about CyanConode taking " .... the lead ...... " with other projects, personally, I would say it would depend on how the overall contract/project was/is structured.

If CyanConnode received an order from say, an Infrastructure Company, who had limited experience within smart energy projects overall, I would suggest that CyanConnode could very well take " ..... the lead ..... " for that segment of the project, if required, which I have mentioned before.

I am confident that CyanConnode have not only their experience in India, to call on, but also their global experience, also.

No problem. As I commented on Monday, when the Strategic Framework Agreement was made public, this is not an order, but the intent is clear.

There are also no timescales attached the agreement, at this time. So in my opinion, it is more practical and more ethical, not to reveal who the agreement is with.

And they have probably not given their permission, for CyanConnode to reveal any more information than they already have.

But still a significant agreement, for me, with the potential for a multi-unit/multi-solution order, in the fulness of time.

As we were informed some time ago, CyanConnode needs the concerned companys/companies permission, before CyanConnode can go public with any statement about any collaborations with CyanConnode.

So as far as that information is concerned, patience is the important factor here. When both or all parties are comfortable with releasing any information, then that is when it will happen.

So I am not expecting any specific information on the Strategic Framework Agreement, until all parties are ready are ready for it to be made public.

In my opinion, of course.

Features of CyanConnode's Omnimesh.

It is good to get confimation that CyanConnode are still developing the range Omnimesh solutions.

The government has envisioned 250 million households adopting prepaid smart meters in the next few years, with the potential to generate savings of about INR 10 trillion in the next decade, through reduced billing and collection inefficiencies in the system. RDSS funding will be available only if Discom commits to an agreed-upon loss reduction. This trajectory has pushed Discoms to consider smart meters a powerful tool, as evidenced by the fact that there are currently more than 100 million smart meters on the market. The strong payment mechanism listed in SBD, from the utilities to the AMISP's, has pushed for a larger participation from AMISP's, in all these tenders.

Also, as I commented earlier, CyanConnode does have an extensive ecosystem of Partners, built up over a number of years. Which may be of use at one stage or another.

An interesting scenario jake and gizmo555, concerning Adani, on two fronts. But the cancellation of the Uttar Pradesh tender for Adani, could have far reaching effects.

From the Business Standard report:-

" Now, the discom is likely to opt for a fresh tendering process. Even other UP discoms could tread a similar line, taking a cue from MVVNL.

" Interestingly, none of the four private companies in the fray are manufacturers of smart meters. They would have probably sublet the manufacturing after winning the contract."

What the " unavoidable reasons " are, cited earlier in the Business Standard report, is also still to be publicly revealed/explained.

As I mentioned earlier, tonyj, this is " .... still great business for CyanConnode."

And for what it's worth, my more immediate share price optimism comes in a lot lower than your multiple pounds. At the moment.

But who knows what the future holds. The potential rewards for CyanConnode and CyanConnode share-holders, is very encouraging.

The " ....... design, installation, implementation, integration ...... " for 3 million smart meters, indicates that maybe CyanConnode are providing more of a service within this particular Framework Agreement. As I mentioned earlier, possibly an infrastructure company, that has limited experience within the smart meter arena and are drawing on CyanConnodes expertise and experience, within the smart meter programme.

As we are aware, CyanConnode do not manufacture meters, so it was unfortunate that typo occured. But rectified now. But still good news and we await the full disclosure of the Framework Agreement in the fullness of time.
