When you say Vaccinated, do you mean BOTH shots, or just the 1st (eg 1st injection is not protection).

I read the theory is that is adequate for under 65s, which is the majority of the population.

So 447.7M in total of which only about 20% are affected. So they need 900M doses to cover everyone for each round needed.

I have now found some clarity on the headline, though I have heard some German news reporting that AZ is only 8% effective for the over 65s.

They say there has been confusion and 8% actually refers to the number of people in the study between 56 and 69 years old

The thread which came up for me underneath points out that there is a difference between rejection and clarifying the data / looking for more data for the over 65s. I think the same could hold true for those whose immune systems are
compromised.

I'm afraid the tit for tat for MSM will run and run and run. Personally I did wonder if the FB were stymying deliveries of the AZ vaccine to the EU. Really wish we had extended the transition period until after vaccine deliveries for Q2 were sorted.

According to BILD information, the federal government expects that the vaccine from the Swedish-British manufacturer AstraZeneca will only receive approval from the EU drug authority EMA for people under the age of 65.

The rest is under subscription, so keep watch over the next few days.

Professor Lindy Durrant and Dr Michele Mishto will discuss common post-translational modifications to peptides that can be recognised by T cells in cancer, and the potential benefits of using unconventional T cell epitopes in cancer immunotherapy. Our first speaker Dr Michele Mishto will explain how proteasomes can splice tumour peptides, and about his work characterising the CD8+ T cell spliced immunopeptidome. Professor Lindy Durrant will close the session by discussing her work on CD4+ T cell responses to peptides that have been citrullinated by stressed tumour cells and the prospect of a citrullinated peptide cancer vaccine.

Bill, interesting point. I thought that the reason for the 2 shot dose (with the 1st being a lower dosage) was in part due to the very severe reactions.

I'm hoping to find out the difference between them and Scancell's soon.

Scoucemark, good observation about the price. Of the shares I track, most outside pharmas are down and the FTSE100 is down 150 points from last week.

AB, I think you are right. Just waiting for the next RNS. As for a walk, as long as it is not too icy out, I recommend it to clear the head. And if it is too icy to avoid a certain fall, standing outside long enough to enjoy the view and the sheer spectacular cold make it worth coming back in to a warm cuppa.

C7, it is indeed getting very concerning around the country, with deaths just under 1.3k today and the number of serious cases still rising. I don't think the numbers are going to come down any time soon because of the numbers of people still going into the office to work, etc. The ban on travelling to the UK from South American and Portugal is in place now at least.

AB, You can go to the other BB, but I think you will find it is mostly full of stuff which doesn't help investors. I used to try and scan through every other day or so. Frankly it wasn't worth the effort more than 1/week for me, and then only with a stiff drink as a reward.
