My Dad used to take in recordings of John Williams and Julian Bream when he had treatments and checkups. Holding steady is a positive outcome, particularly in the light of the pandemic. You can see clearly the volume spikes on the buys and sells. What I find interesting is that the price didn't drop further given the selling pressure.

Most likely because of the divi (xd is on Thursday this week) plus a bit on the news about the universal covid vaccine development.

Lest we forget, vaccines usually take years to develop. If we apply the same funding, manufacturing, and regulatory approvals in the way the world approached 1st Gen Covid19 vaccines, getting a universal vaccine to market could happen within a year - providing the EFFICACY was proven.

Thanks Wild for the insights. I only came across Scancell in 2015 when I was looking at a pancreatic charity donation.

I'm still hopeful that the cancer vaccines they are developing will help prevent it, as well as raise the survival rates for those who do get it (along with every other cancer of course). Even now, the 10 year survival rate for pancreatic cancer is 1%.

As for the US opening. I think it may be a red herring, as we are not on the NASDAQ (yet). If USA investors want to trade EU stocks, surely they can do that during our opening hours, just as we can trade USA stocks during their opening hours.

There was news over the weekend featuring Scancell who are developing a universal covid vaccine - as I understand the term, it will help protect against all covid19 variants, as well as future covids. I also read that the CTs could start within weeks, with an accelerated timeline like the 1st Gen vaccines, so that it would be available to the public as soon as possible.

I sold a few to pick up the BP divi this week. Going to use that to help fill my ISA for next year.

For the CG, I think the rule is that you need to be out of the share for 30 days, or when you finally sell, CG is calculated on the original price.
