Didn't Merck cancel their Covid19 project? I have not looked at the WHO register for at least a month.

I have been a fan of freecycle.org or several years - even if I suspect some pick up free goods and resell them from time to time. I have found homes for quite a few items that way. My local FB group is also quite useful, and again, I've found suitable homes for a few things, though I had to decline to ship an uplighter to Singapore and opted for a local family instead.

And if you can't give it away there, there is always upcycling though outlets (though I think most outlets are struggling to cope with the current situation).

I did a stint at a research trust very early in my career, and I have great respect for what they achieve on a very small fraction of the funds made available in the private sector.

I truly that new opportunities present themselves in the coming weeks, and though it may be very different going forward, it will be rewarding to those suffering. As with many charities, CRUK have been hit by a lack of donations this year in particular. I fear many will continue to suffer, particularly where corporate donations made a significant impact.

Because there are significant long covid complications which could affect many thousands, if not millions, I am hoping that the entire sector will bounce back in the medium term.

As for the market, I think much of the market has been consumed by GME / AMC(? - the cinema chain) where retail investors have gained. I listened briefly to one Twitch commentator this morning who made it clear that someone is going to buy the top, so would loose. I was also looking at the xrp "pump" which appeared to be a massive dump at the advertise time, following two days of heavy gains.

All that is to say that we all place our "bets" in the management teams and hope that they can deliver.

As for CTs in H2 only - that may be more a limitation of facilities and volunteers. I've been discussing about whether to volunteer or not with my family. Scancell's stance has always been to protect against future covids. As for the cancer vaccine, I hope that those who have had appointments cancelled and investigations delayed over the last year, reap the benefit of the breakthroughs in time.

I know someone who bought some. I was told that the stock has been shorted to 130% plus of all shares issued, so the theory is that the stock will keep going up. Evidently one guy has claimed to have made $44Million out of it.

I don't think I changed their mind, but I think I got them to consider reducing their exposure by taking at least some profits to at least cover their initial stake and be a bit ahead. As with all things, #DYOR

If they follow preview years,
Declaration date is likely to be next week
XD the week after
Payment the week after XD.
Platforms credit accounts between the same day to a week later (and some may need a reminder).

If you intend to sell, you may want to sell before the XD date as there is often a dip afterwards. However, #DYOR (do your own research into all of this).

Lenin, I don't comment here very much. Most of the share boards I use on LSE are good about that.

Unfortunately, not all the knowledgeable people are here, so sometimes one must go elsewhere - this may not affect BP as much as some of the others.

Lindy did an excellent job making the science easy to understand. There was a little detail on why CD4 vs CD8, as well as some detail about their first CT. I think there was a slight delay in some of the slides, so I got a bit lost in the middle, but it caught up eventually.

I'm not sure whether it will be on Scancell's website, but something like it, also answering some of the questions asked at the end would be extremely useful.

As for the presentation today, they said it would be made available.

Thought some might find this interesting.

I have seen that coincidence noted before. Obviously IDK... However, only giving 1 jab may cause further mutations and many people could still get the current mutation. [obviously even with 95% efficacy, 1 in 20 could get ill]....

I have not seen any news about whether the catch up from the less than 500k with 2 jabs to the 15m promised to be vaccinated by (mid february) - I assume Johnson's promise means both jabs from the same supplier. I'm also not sure if both jabs have to be from the same batch, given the manufacturing issues they have had.
