Also check the rates you will pay. If you have very LOW taxable income, then the effective rate of tax on the divis will be around 7% I think (from the last time I looked).

Another choice is to get out tomorrow ahead of the Div, take the gain/loss and then buy back after a drop.

Looking at the 66 in CTs, only 8 others are DNA covid vaccines. with only 1 as a single shot.

Oil stock were up yesterday and level today. Share price is up 6% from yesterday morning, and divi is 1.x% so I'm not attributing the rise to the divi but to the oil and economic outlook in general.

US markets open today, so expecting another bump.

BP pays QTRly - it's about a 1.x% divi so there's a goo chances are there is more upswing. The urge to take profits is strong so I'm watching.

Fibonaccis on TradingView look good, and the Squeeze indicator looks favourable. As someone mentioned earlier on the board, a Golden Cross has appeared...

I've seen elsewhere that Hargreaves' app is down. So if you can cancel your pending order and buy in the market (check prices) into your ISA that would be the best route to minimise gains.

Re Divi income: I don't day trade, so as mentioned yesterday I picked up some BP as they are going xd on Thurs. Just deciding whether to bank the 6% profit or stay in hoping the economic spring blossoms. Let's just say the profit is more than my day rate.

I've never had that happen to me.

My buy is 22.5 - and yes, I've heard that IG's platform has a larger spread than others. I'm just debating about taking the profits from a trade yesterday or hanging in for an economic recovery miracle worldwide
