If they cross the 75% threshold, but less than 90%, would it be in all our intrests to accept the offer to ensure it crosses the 90%, everyone gets the offer price plus Znwd,??? Just trying to to remove the possibility of being left with shares in a delisted company that are worthless/can't be traded!!!!!

The attached link (which was posted on the SOLG bb) features an overview of the global copper looking at M & A's, a list of prospective mines by size, with Beutong shown on the list......i was invested but recently sold at 2.8p taking a small profit...just thought the link may be interesting reading for LTH's

Deflating!!!! Clearly progressing Platypus was not so straightforward as previouly thought, hence the dana exit. Does anyone know if Dana would have paid impairment charges on Dana, or were those passed onto the other partners when they walked away? If it was passed over to the other partners, paying £10.9M is hardly 'maintaining strict financial discipline'

Interactive investor report on Glencore and they are very bullish forcasting a possible target price of £5.73....hope so....and we'll collect increased divis on the way!!!!

I agree, it was uncomfortable seeing the pictures, but it didn't raise anything that i wasn't already aware of.....for the preceding 50 years, it was gold and diamonds, unfortunately, today it is cobalt.....and nothing much will change...especially the corruption!!!!!

Having just looked at the numbers, it is serious amount of money in comparision to our mcap, and for me, JM has negoiated the funding required, and done a good job, but clearly not to everyones liking...not sure how you can get 2 x tier 1 mines to production without going down the route he took. Interesting that the funding was conditional on that Glencore agreed to 100% offtake of the product for 10 years, previously glencore would have launched a takeover in such circumstances, but with so many backers, we can all look forward to product coming out the ground.....btw, i am also invested in bcn, solg, Ars and wish JM had been negoiating deals for them!!

From the above link , it states china released copper and zinc onto the open market via a fourth auction on the 8th october to combat high metal prices. Perhaps that is why the price has dropped recently and allowed the LME inventories to build up stocks, further depressing the price of copper.I believe this was going to continue for the rest of this year, but who knows.
Anyway, lower production numbers resulting in record breaking earnings....profits.....then dividends.....they already stated in last financials that the company would focus on returning cash to shareholders!!!!! Can't hold this back forever!!

My thoughts are the SP should rise to about 75p on monday morning, but wouldn't be suprised if it dropped a little. This latest RNS i believe is a smokescreen for the low take up of the current offer. GF made the initial approach after the fund raise and spent 3 months doing their due diligence, before confirming their bid and suddenly, and coinciding with the low take up of the offer, they now claim to have missed this Mexican Anti-trust document and withdrawn the offer......after 3 months of DD.
GF have tried to shortchange SH's with a long drawnout, over complicated offer, designed to confuse investors and play on the lack of patience of investors who bought in for a quick profit at the RNS notification of the proposed bid!!!
Being so close to first production in 2023 and the recent steep rise in Lithium, we should be at least £1 by now!!!!

I see copper has just tanked, not sure why.

I don't doubt my memory is clouded, but somethings standout clear, and the statement from Dana PM, Eric Bell, was they were having problems sourcing (a branch manifold -I think, but clouded mamory et al!!!), but what made it standout was, it was like a question asked on a forum, as if he was expecting someone was going to tell where to source it...but he was the PM, so if he didn't know, how would anyone else, therefore i assumed that PMG were going back to the supply chain because of this issue....perhaps this is why dana withdrew!!!

From memory, when dana backed out and Tom stepped in, the immediate PMG statement was that they were going back to the supply chain (pressumably with alternative options as 1 x key item was on a very long lead time, but i forget what item it was), and this was put to the OGA when PMG stated it would be the operator (in principle), so delays were to be expected. Even so, CAL have a greater share of the licence and with gas prices so high, even if PMG dropped out, CAL and/or smaller partners would surely take on the licence....even though i expect PMG to still be involved wth platypus, i will get a little nervous approaching the next financials in november, as this is how PMG notify shareholders of relequishing licences, buried somewhere on a random page.

PMG never communicate developments inless they have too. I agree it could be viewed that the platypus licence has been reliquished, someone found on linkedin a subsea project manager contracted to PMG on platypus, and the status is shown as current....with pmg, we have look elsewhere for information, as we don't get it from Tom

Would Tom have to declare any takeover bid?
I am looking for £2 ps min, and many LTH's bought in higher than £1. Tom rejected an informal bid from cnooc for £1.40, and that was before the farm deal, so Tom tightened his grip with the farm deal making a hostile bid near impossible. Any bid i would expect to come from someone within the OMFMER/SIG group, to possibly remove Tom from the table, as he may be the barrier to the project progressing, due to difficult/protracted negotiations...this is just my opinon, and with Tom on an average of 70p ps and CFO Ryan strougler on about £1.30 ps, a takeover at this stage would have to be substantial for Tom to consider handing the keys to his trainset to someone else!!!!

Infact GE powerconversion are installing one of these units in Inverness as we speak and have several other installations planned across the world....these units are still relatively new but GE are looking to get a foothold in wind turbine market these stabilisers

I can only assume that the large sell that has just shown up is a disillusioned LTH who has lost faith and is taking the opportunity and selling on the next spike.....i must admit i don't blame them with the radio silence from Tom, but this is the issue with PMG, the next spike may be the big one....and you don't want miss it, particularly if you've been here a while.

NQM - i thought and posted the same post a few years back (2018) when deltic were cluff NR before the shell farm in. Pmg had accured the remaining 50% from Verus for license 2209 Farne extension which was opposite to the deltic/cluff gas fields...i was certain that some sort of merger would happen, but shell stepped...maybe Tom was outbid by shell, maybe not, but an opportunity missed..,who knows? Just over 2 months till the next financials, and possibly an update on existing projects (tom did state he hoped to decide on the GPA route this year) or another cut and paste!!!!
