@samewise: the offer was 0.2573 SAND shares +28.75p cash. At yesterday's closing NYSE:SAND of $3.55, and the exchange rate of 0.7729, the offer presently equates to 99.35p. At the present MARL SP of 90.12p, this i a 9% discount. Cordially Lionel

Interesting spot, Skibba. That looks to be around 2 million shares hoovered up and announced after hours, or around 1.6% of the company. Can we exclude that this is simply SAND picking up some more while they can? Another observation: these are being bought on AIM. There does not seem to be such a pattern on TSX (as far as I can see). I don't know how to see the US-OTC trades, so can't tell if they are being bought there. If it was Sprott buying, would it not be more likely via TSX? Any thoughts? Interesting times. I was beginning to regret not selling this afternoon, but pleased now to be holding. We shall see. Cordially Lionel

@Skibba... since I'm thinking likewise, may I ask this: are you picturing this as playing out that you take your SAND shares (and the cash), then hold the SAND shares for a further substantial rise in the SAND SP because of what is likely to be announced? Can we estimate what percentage of the MARL shareholders are likely to support this give away? From MARL's www site, main investors are listed as Sandstorm=7.1%, Directors total 1.81%, then others that I have no feel how they would vote. This means only a total of 9% guaranteed to vote for the deal. That seems like a long way from being a dead cert. Any other views? Cordially Lionel
