I suspect the drop today is a consequence of the large rights issue announced by Orsted this morning. $6.4 billion is a lot for the market to absorb.

I agree with Bilbo that headline results probably won't give us much information in themselves but the direction of travel will be significant. The prospect of more and larger orders might finally interest the market, while the cash flow position will be carefully watched. The last update was very positive and investors will be looking for more of the same.

Well it's good to know that Berenberg has seen the light, even if nobody else has.....

It seems that the pharma companies have to deal with one headwind after another these days. Now we have two at once, threatened tariffs on drugs imported to the USA and now price cuts .

The discrepancy is due to changes in the exchange rate. AstraZeneca reports in US$ and the Dollar has been weak against the £GB this year.

Kpa1, Bilbo and I have been in this share since the Ice Age and have enjoyed many ups and downs along the way. I can't speak for him but personally I do feel more optimistic than I have for some time. Unlike the last lurch upwards, the share price seems to be in touch with reality, edging steadily upwards as evidence of possible future contracts emerges. One can only hope that this continues.

It looks as though the money headed for AFC today. Let's see what tomorrow brings.

Like Ian, I was comforted by Peter Hargreaves' involvement in the company, although I don't think I knew about it when I first invested. I have always kept the faith, although at times that has been pretty difficult. Finally there might be light at the end of the tunnel.

It's all looking very positive Bilbo. H2 for cars may not be mainstream in the short term but It's possible to see an opening further out, especially for larger vehicles, for which batteries don't work that well. JLR and BMW have more or less admitted this. If H2 can make serious inroads into freight haulage it would be a real game changer.

Agreed Bilbo, shorters are irrelevant of you're a LTH. I expect the SP to drift upwards over the year as more orders are announced. It won't be a straight line though.

For years we have been promsed the bright future of a hydrogen highway. I'm still waiting.

The drop looks overdone but that's the market for you. I suspect that profit taking played a large part, after a steady rise in the SP over the past year or so. Leadership does matter of course - the disastrous tenure of Alison Cooper proved that. Hopefully the new CEO will continue the good work of his predecessor. Meanwhile the share buybacks and dividend increasrs should support the SP in the medium term.

Good to hear that California is still pushing ahead with hydrogen refuelling rollout, even if there isn't much enthusiasm elsewhere.

Market sentiment takes on a momentum of its own Digitalis.

There used to be a saying in the market "Never buy on an order or sell on a strike" bit I suspect that an exception will be made in this case. We have waited a long time for a news feed like this and one can only hope that FIDs will follow before too long. Until then the shares remain a solid hold.

The market seems to have taken a liking to the FY results but I'm rather disappointed by the reduction in the final dividend. Presumably the board thinks that the share buy-back will compensate for this. Progress in the UK seems to have more or less ground to a halt and we're now dependent on Germany for growth.
