The stock is strangely undervalued by the market, given the company's obvious financial strength. The importance of the German market should not be forgotten - this is one of the principal growth areas now. Until a few months ago the shares were trading as high as £37 and they should reach at least that level again, barring disasters.

Diageo has now adopted the annoying habit of quoting the dividend in $US only. It would be useful for UK investors if we could have the Sterling equivalent please.

ITM will have to differentiate its products from the competition in terms of quality and reliability in order to build a position in the European and US markets. Western governments will be reluctant to rely too heavily on Chinese kit and that will play to ITM's advantage. I would agree that Labour's GB Energy will be favourably disposed to companies like ITM, provided that they can come up with the goods. Politically, the current indications are encouraging but inevitably things will take time to develop in the market. If we ever get a forecast of a cash-positive nature then the shares will surely move ahead.

This is positive news. Definite plans for the installation of a hydrogen pipeline network is just what the sector needs right now. Meanwhile CWR has just signed up another significant customer. Hopefully ITM can maintain the momentum at the upcoming results announcement.

I'm not sure that the timing is that important, unless you're a short term investor.

Reading through the JP Morgan piece, they are clearly taking a very conservative view of the company's financial progress over the next few years. After all the hype and disappointment of recent times, such caution might not be a bad thing. They acknowledge the long term prospects for ITM and that is at least encouraging. As we have noted many times before, patience will be required before the company's full potential materialises.

Ian often writes about ITM in his column, having been a shareholder for many years. Like Bilbo and others, he sensibly capitalised on the share price spike a couple of years ago and sits on a nice profit. I share his view that there is still potential in the company but we will need to patience of Job.

I take your point about the factory tour. We deserve better shareholder communications than we have had hitherto. Meanwhile the miserable share price trajectory continues......

Let's hope we get a bit more information at the results in August because there's not much to go on meanwhile. The trebling of turnover is certainly positive but a clear prospectus regarding future profitability is sorely needed after 20 years of losses.

Unlikely I would have thought. Labour and the SNP have these policies for setting up state-owned companies for ideological reasons but they don't usually come to much. They certainly won't have the money to splash out on a large company like SSE.

If nothing else, it's encouraging to see that the CEO is at the top table for these discussions. Companies that are already well embedded in the decision process will be in the best position to take market positions when the green hydrogen industry becomes established.

The dividend cut was widely flagged by the company so no surprise there. Hopefully it will increase again from the lower base because most investors see this as an income stock. The extra investment in generating and distribution capacity will benefit future growth, if you're prepared to wait that long.

The exceptionally high volumes today certainly suggest that something is afoot. Worth watching for a possible rerating or more.

The company will be hoovering up as many shares as they can with the price at these levels. This will help the EPS no end.
