The consensus seems to be that the merger will eventually be allowed after concessions are made regarding spectrum sales etc. Whether it will benefit the share price remains to be seen.

Not sure I like the sound of a reality check MIKECC. I think we have had enough of those lately. It seems that PEM electrolysers are forecast to take only a third of the total market, with alkaline taking a 60% share. So not only do we seem to be in the wrong business but also in the wrong part of that business.

I have pretty much given up hope of any good news from this company but it would be wonderful to be proved wrong. The fact that other H2 shares are languishing similarly is not much consolation.

It doesn't seem to have done much for the share price. We live in hope......

Does anyone have a dividend forecast for 2023? Since the demerger I have found information about this difficult to find. The final dividend just paid seemed paltry and no indication was given in the final results about future payouts.

The results make excellent reading, especially the 44% dividend rise, providing some recompense for the meagre helpings of the last few years. My feeling is that the shares will pass £40 before too long, as suggested by Peel Hunt, and the growth possibilities are impressive, especially in Germany. The company has done well by sticking to its knitting and long may that continue.

I think no buyout price was mentioned but the target was raised to £40 or so, which sounds about right.

Peel Hunt's leisure analyst has identified Whitbread as a possible bid target from a trade or private equity buyer and rightly so. The company has a proven and successful business model and impressive growth prospects both in the UK and in Germany. It also has a strong balance sheet and is well managed. The share price remains depressed post pandemic, in comparison with its international counterpart IHG. While I would prefer Whitbread to remain independent, it is hard to believe that it will do unless the share price recovers significantly.

It comes to something when we celebrate a broker target price of 95p with a buy recommendation.

It seems that the UK govt is placing a lot of hope on CCS, judging by the amount of money they are prepared to throw at it. Like the oil and gas companies, they are prioritising blue over green hydrogen. My understanding is that no commercial-scale process for CCS yet exists but maybe Bilbo and others can put me right on this.

Don't expect anything much from this share in the near future. The company has a lot to prove before the market starts to take it seriously again. Long term investors have learned to be extremely patient.

Plug Power down heavily today, seems to be dragging the sector lower. Does anyone know why?

Big article in today's Times Business section detailing BMW's plans to produce FCEV SUVs. Limited production currently, ramping up towards 2030 as refuelling infrastructure rolls out. Interestingly they echo the comments of JLR that H2 is the most appropriate fuel for large automobiles, as well as trucks and buses.

Trelio don't expect a dividend for a year or two. They will want to make a dent in their huge debt pile before they start returning money to shareholders.
