I am surprised that other hotel companies and private equity outfits haven't seized upon the attraction of the property assets here. IHG released enormous value from their estate when they moved to an asset-light model and Whitbread could follow a similar path.

The market's attitude to this share is quite bizarre and will surely tempt a predator if not reversed sometime soon.

That's as may be but Vodafone might well decide to quit the UK market if the decision goes against the merger and who can blame them?

I agree, it's only a matter of time before somebody makes a bid, especially at the current share price. The company is loaded with assets, has a proven business model and excellent growth prospects in the UK and Germany.

I agree, it's good to see collaboration with Bamford's outfit at last. Not necessarily a game-changer but every little helps, as they say at Tesco.

Hard to understand why this stock is being sold down. Results are unlikely to disappoint to any great degree, based on recent experience. It's a very well run company with a strong brand and excellent growth prospects both in the UK and Germany. Any short term dip in turnover is likely to be short-lived and if the share price remains depressed there is a good chance of an opportunistic bid from one of the many international hotel groups who would love to own this business.

Good to hear some news at last about deliveries and the prospect of a new product might give the shares a lift at some point. As ever, we have to be patient.....

I imagine this will be clarified in the FY results but presumably the payment date will remain the same in August, with the interim dividend halved next February.

Hubster1 I take your point regarding energy security and we saw how seriously the Govt takes this in relation to the Huawei telecommunications contracts. Only time will tell whether the Rolls-Royce solution is the one to go for.

ITM will certainly have to differentiate their technology from that of the Chinese competition or they will be excluded from most of the major markets. I have no idea how they will do this but it's a straightforward bet, as Bilbo has indicated. I have not seen the presentation but read with interest the comments it, which appear to be positive.

Encouraging to see the effect that a positive trading announcement can have on a share price in the H2 sector. I am not expecting any such fireworks from ITM's interim results but an upbeat tone and some evidence of increased sales wouldn't do any harm. This being ITM, we are used to disappointments but hope springs eternal.
