Interesting timetable Jiddy.
29 hours to get from Deadhorse to our ice road, of which we are parked up in a lay-by for 6 hours.
So the rig is moving for 23 hours (give or take). I can't remember the exact distance but sure it is more than 1mph. Might move a bit slower on the ice road, but they won't have to stop for traffic.
As long as we avoid breakdowns, we could be on the drill pad by mid-week.

The way I see it, the rig will be moving on the Dalton between 00:01 on Sat to 12:01 on Mon (60 hours) including several stops/ pull-ins to allow traffic to keep moving. I would not be surprised if there is a 12 hour contingency built into those 60 hours. I suspect there will be no news until the rig gets off the highway, so if the journey takes 48 hours there might be time to announce it via ASX on Monday, if it takes longer then maybe the announcement will hit AIM first and the Aussies will have to wake up on Tuesday to a higher sp. Such timings are only important to traders, I won't be budging for some time yet.
Asx did not have a busy day, so looks like I was wrong about the herd moving DownUnder but they closed at same price they opened, so the slide stopped. For us the day is young, this share turns on a sixpence.

I'm ecpecting an upturn tonight on ASX (last chance to buy in before the weekend). We will then follow through tomorrow. Some may wait until monday or tuesday when we will get an update - but this can move so fast when the herd arrives, and i can feel the ground vibrating already.

I suspect you will mostly get a quote if you specify "best price" but if you say "I want X shares at Y price", now - then MMs can disappoint.

41m sold in Oz, then bots bring sp down at end seems to be a pattern. Can only last so long as Asx will not drift too far from Aim. MMs do not favour steady growth, more commission to be made from volatility so beware of manipulations of spread - smoke and mirrors.

No need for additional worming as long as they have a Happy Meal at least fortnightly.

The "good news" is implicit - namely, " the long wait is over". That's for starters, then we are to expect a presentation/ schedule which will give an indication of milestones to be achieved in the next couple of months (subject to unplanned events). A nice early, juicy result on the first target would be great, but the big prizes are closer to the bottom of the hole. I heard the herd is on it's way.

Carry on dreaming, Fomo delayed by about a week, but spud date is still due on or before 1st March. The rig moves at just over 1mph and will only stop to let traffic pass as it briefly pulls into a lay-by on the Dalton. Once on the Ice Road the crew will keep it rolling for the 36 hours from end to end. The icepad team should have all ancillary services in place for a flying start. Fomo will be concertina'd into a shorter period, but will take place before we hit the first of 7 zones ( and beyond).

I'll second that, and take your advice not to believe you. DW on the other hand is a front seat driver with his hands on the wheel.

In theory consolidation is just a reduction of shares and a commensurate rise in price. In the good old days of quill pens, that meant less paperwork to cart around in a wheelbarrow - but is meaningless in todays digital age. It usually ends up in a reduction in the value of the company of 10-20%. My theory is that some think that a sudden uplift in sp triggers a spike - that assumes investors are so stupid that they are ill informed. In practise, some may forget they have sell orders in place and end up selling cheap, others reflect on the admin cost of the excersise for no gain and decide to bale out. Whatever the reaction, it usually ends in tears. Some institutional investors will not touch a penny share -and to think a 1 for 10 or 1 for 100 consolidation would fool an II is to live in cuckoo land. On top of all that DW sees no point either - let's not go down that path again, we've trodden it to death already.

The ice road would have gone from waterhole to waterhole. They had permits to draw water from various lakes. Probably had a single track road from begining to end within 2 weeks, zig-zagging between lakes.
After that the road would need to be widened to 50 feet - probably 3 times the width of the single track, but wide enough to take the rig. It might be interesting to see the construction plans but it's all academic. The only impirtant thing is the spud date is "on or before 1st March" (St Davids Day) - and as far as I know, we are on target for that.

as for this particular project, it belongs to AEA, come rain or shine. Success will not be fully evaluated until April/May, but if emergency services are called in to stem the uncontrollable flow of oil, we'll have a pretty good idea that the value will be going skywards (will this improve my ranking?)

TD, PMO stomped up £23m for a 60% interest in leases held by 88e & Bex.
AEA is the operator, and controls the budget for the drilling programme.
The original budget was for £23m (as far as we know), but that is academic as AEA will have to shell out whatever it costs.
The recent CR was to provide some contingency funding - we have no quantitative information on that score BUT we have some cryptic information from DW's RNS, viz. ".....and a subsequent incremental increase in the well cost due to high grading of the quality of the evaluation program."
We can only speculate on what is meant by "high grading.... of the program" - maybe he intends to flow test a third prospect (if winter lasts long enough!) - who knows?
I wonder whether we might linger around the shallow "Indigo Prospect" right at the end, having plugged the hole on the way up? Let us hope we do not have an early thaw.
