WAa it's all about brinkmanship - and why we rise in spikes. How did I get to #5 in the rampographic stakes? Must be keywords like boom, train, fomo, millionaire, weekend, rocket, rise, missing out, take off, too late, a bird in the hand is worth two on the tundra (well maybe not the last phrase).

Although slightly delayed, DW has sufficient contingency built into the schedule that the spud date remains on target. When the rig mobilisation kicks off, so will the SP. Once off the highway and onto the ice road travel can proceed at 24hrs/day so spud will not take very long to get under way. Transformational is the word.

Although permit news could drop any day, we know that the rig will be on the move next weekend - so some tine in th enext 7 days we will get at least one RNS, which could be a single topic or multiple topics. It should start a cascade of news over the next 8-10 weeks, setting the sp on an upward trajectory - though how far up is the $64K question.

Had to be done before Torok - so at least it is done, and we have a foundation on which to build.

Interesting that the Government guy on the QT panel this week mentioned Fuel Cells as an alt to Li-Ion battery vehicles.
Public transport will probably require a Hydrogen Delivery element to infrastructure, so there will have to be options for other than Li-Ion storage.

Most campsites I have been to have 1-1.5Kw hook-ups - if you watch TV, Boil a kettle and run a microwave on a wet windy evening, you can spend 20 minutes trying to re-set the trip switch in torch light. I cannot see many upgrading to 7.5kw charging units.

Thought we were on the up last night when ASX was +2.7%, just goes to show, things change when you close your eyes - even so, not much "news", per se, before the spud. We all know the timetable (well, apart from the few who cannot read), so all we are likely to get is a series of confirmations, rather than news. If there have been hiccups, we will only find out after they are resolved, so they will be non-issues by then. Not many shares changed hands DownUnder so the Big Sell has been a non-event, so why are so many dumping shares on the verge of a boom on LSE? Go figure?

This weekly reporting rule/myth is widely reported because it is untrue. It is a fiction. Had such a rule been a fact, there would be no debate, just a link to the rule. DDYOF.

There is No Set Interval for updates. They are event driven. To say they occur monthly is ridiculous - just look at the RNS tab.
We had a breakdown and hold up on Ice#1. And we had updates more frequently than once, some weeks. I recall some repair guy got stopped in Canada with no visa (can you believe it, the part arrived, but the "approved mechanic" was late to the party). These out of the blue spanners in the works, will generate RNS's as will poking a hole in every target, although if 2 targets are punctured within hours of each other, we'll probably get a 2-in-1.
As for an Airstrip, that may be a requirement for pads more than X miles from a highway for Medic access. With a 50-feet wide iceroad, I suspect it will double-up as an airstrip, for parts or people emergencies - and Erik can fly home for lunch, when his wife cooks his favourite Elk & kidney pie.

We'd better get many more orthopaedic surgeons too. The more EV's, the more cables to charge them, the more old ladies tripping over them on the way home from the corner shop, or inebriated persons walking across campus while students are occupying uni libraries late evening with long extension leads hanging from windows. Can hear thise bones cracking now.

My old JCB3c was born around 1968, it suffered a seizure in 1999. Left it ticking over while I opened a gate and BANG. Closed the gate and called a Plant breaker and off she went on a low loader next day. Last December, a friend I'd not seen for 3 years (a JCB driver) told me it was still working on a local farm. Granted, not the same engine or cab, but all else same. Canibals live forever.

I should add that I think the dip will be short lived. DW mentioned an unsolicited offer -to me that suggests someone with a tighter grip than those Sophisticate Bankers.
The rig starts moving onto the Dalton in 13 day, so it matters little to me whether the ice road is complete by this Thursday or next, the rig will move as scheduled.

I could be wrong, but if a large chunk of the CR shares were taken up by Aussie wise guys (Sophs), then I'm not surprised that more off-loading took place Down Under that up here. It also makes sense to me that DW would like to put as much distance between the last Ann and the next, to allow the smoke to clear and to re-establish that upward incline in the sp. The laws of dynamic physics dictate that it takes more effort to move a stationary object than one already in motion - same is true of the sp. If we already have momentum good news will accelerate progress. Previously, we have all too often had the lift of good news being overwhelmef by the inertia of stagnation. That's the way the cookie crumbles, sometimes, it's not DW's fault - he cannot defer announcements indefinately, ASX rules!

Only 2 weeks ago the RNS states "Drilling is scheduled to commence in February 2020 with flow testing anticipated to conclude in April 2020". No date is specified. As I mentioned earlier, this is enyirely compatible with our site managers statement to the press "on or before 1st March".

Erik gave an interview a week or so ago where he said we should spud 1st March or maybe a few days before. He will be there coordinating everything, but even he made provision for some wriggle room. The rig will have a few stopovers in lay-by's along the Dalton to allow traffic to get past it so if say, it travels 16 hour per day, so 48 hours total, and it is 32 miles to the ice road, that's less than 1mph ( 0.66mph). It may be slower on the ice road, as they may need to lay steel tracks, last thing they need is to bottom out at a soft spot.
