I am not holding at a 30p so easy to say, but I have a decent amount now in at a single figure average, but in no rush, not invested too much that I need to worry every day, and the plan is I will average down on the way up if I feel it’s a good opportunity based on news.

Simmo77, for every negative argument there is a positive response. The BH deal was poor for COPL, let’s see what happens once the minor BH’s are out, cornerstone investor remains and production improves.

There is no rush to convert and sell bonds in huge volume IMO.

Then when you do that call trujack it’s still next to nonsense it the company show production progress or one of the other significant events that could take place.

It’s at this price due to the mechanics of the finance deal agreed with the BH. Once it’s just the cornerstone investor left then price should settle above 6.5p in my view unless production / JV news hits before minor BH have moved on.

I keep considering dropping my average a but basically until the BH nonsense is over / superseded by better news I won’t as I can’t be bothered to help the minor BH’s. I would prefer to just buy more once the worm has turned.

The bonds recently converted are being dumped IMO Whether they carryon dumping at these levels is another story but today they have hence the drop.

We had a good news rns recently so let’s see if the company keeps improving operationally and as such when the BH rubbish stops it could rerate accordingly

First RNS in a long time that in my view said they were doing something, have completed it and showing positive results.

The revenue from that increase alone between April / May is probably about $4m a year and it’s a small increase compared to what field can give once the conversions are complete and the GGS is up and running so the field can be injected more.

Keep it up and the SP will follow.

Well I dipped my toe in through my SIPP first thing yesterday as had my eye on this for a while, fingers crossed it was a good entry point.

When COPL can demonstrate the fact that their modifications and assumptions turn into flowing oil the game will change and then SP should bounce with the anchor of BH’s hopefully clearing quickish in a positive news environment.

If the positive news is a JV with decent terms the clearing of BH’s and bounce will be quicker.

I will still stick to my assumption that by mid august COPL should be showing decent signs of being a different animal

Depends what wells are being tied in, to be honest the information is out there so basically I have an assumption but was lazy and see if there was any indication from the company as I am sure that would have been a conversation point.

So what are the predicted affects on bopd on the works to the GGS system as short term for me that is the key to progress as it buys the time by getting the company in a strong financial position.

It’s a week before an AGM, companies always give some progress update / news etc. i really am not sure a letter for a group of investors has been the deciding factor on news coming out.

Steve, correct and that why I am really shocked anyone actually invested to any decent level would be voting for a bod change now in QTR 2/3 which is see as COPL’s most important period to date. Fail in these QTR’s with financial backing, a plan for increased production being executed, a JV on the boil, RBL in discussions and plans for adding to NAV via increased bookings of resources is however another discussion.

The disconnect on potential vs share price is significant and any sign in QTR2/3 that the current team are capable of bridging the gap will make most people more happy with the SP and richer :)

Adnauseam, if carlsberg did RNA’s that would be it lol. My view has always been would love a suspension RNA saying “pending incoming JV terms confirmation to keep an orderly market” then even if the JV only theoretically takes the price to a sp level below expectations it still allows people to decide to build positions and should flush out weaker BH’s quicker as the first 1-4 days volume would be significant.

Panamabob, correct not positive enough as it is a progress update on something not finished and with an unknown impact on bopd. If progress updates with a successful conclusion become the norm, then a progress update starts to have a positive impact . Until the market can see that connection nothing will move until actually results are clearly shown in announcements.

Parmabob, it is a positive update but the issue is it is still saying what will happen rather than what has happened in terms of material affect on the company performance. If COPL can get in a routine of providing progress updates on a regular basis with tangible benefits when “things” are completed we would see RNA’s like today viewed in a positive light.

Dbh, I am not sure on the expectations on Bopd given we are doing the works in phases, but in principle the figure of 2500 before major issues on pressure was noticed is a good start point with maybe a reduction on that based on not all the wells initially being tied in, although some well configurations are being altered in addition so I guess the answer is wait and see, with the understand the answer is “higher than now” so is certainly a positive.

Does anyone know the expectations on bopd increases we can expect to see from these wells when fully optimised.

My assumption is the improvement will more than offset the recommencing of any hedge and is therefore very positive or you would not spend upto 4.5m. With the wells being known I was hoping at some stage for COPL to give us a prediction as that would really help show the potential.

Seahawk, 100% hit nail on the head. I mentioned previously voting no to consolidation is a personal choice and in my view valid but voting art out now makes zero sense given JV etc.

If the company say anything that sets the scene better or provides a better update it would need to be via an RNA, which I assume could have been coming anyway as the AGM is due soon but who knows.

Eazy, let’s hope any update is factual and backed by hard data and not a verbal kitchen interview as credibility for them based on excitement of what might happen has long gone, or for me I certainly would not take what was said without a large dose of salt.

In my view with the GGS going in they could put out a detailed positive estimate of bopd increase till year end based on facts with some assumptions baked in but that level of clarity would really help stop discussion
