Look something will no doubt happen one day (we all
hop) but every time it’s blue the suspicion is something is on the way. It’s had x days going down and my unfortunate assumption is the BH won’t sell where it was so a small rise up sees them selling again and it’s risen to that point to support that strategy.

I agree in theory and appreciate the weather situation etc, but I think I am conditioned to COPL not achieving anything that resembles a production increase lol.

With the assets COPL has this should be a no brainier and I have invested enough to warrant me saying that but I really want to start to see tangible achievements.

Eazy, you could be correct but just because there is 3 wells with notice of intent I would not assume they do them both in Q2.

I for one really hope they do as if they start under promising and over delivering it will be a welcome change of strategy and one that would improve sentiment no end.

The markets I doubt will do anything with the news. It’s basically what they told us they were going to do in the last RNS, which did not positively affect the price because I maintain until COPL tell us something is actually done and not “going” to be done nothing will happen.

Yes it proves they are doing what they said they would do as that is a positive but needs the results of the works.

Still maintain that by sometime in august COPL will be very different once works have started to make the required impacts.

The appointment is based on the bond holder appointment to the board is it now? We were told an appointment was happening in March whilst the Ho d holder has the rights to obtain over 15% of the company. I am not sure the appointment is rated to the JV but happy if my understanding from the various RNAs is wrong.

Well people have been saying JV is soon for about 6 months so I guess as some stage someone will be correct. I will go with COPL is different to what it is now but mid August and if that’s right I said it first because that guess is as good as any.

Based on todays update I have concluded COPL can’t do much on their own so if a JV happens tomorrow, next week, next month, next QTR I will be happy. Just really hope something is before end of June or any production increases could just be going back on the hedge and then a new solution to push on will be needed.

All LTH would like your scenario but let’s be honest your guessing at best and misleading at worst.

No the market is not reacting to COPL saying they will do something as no one has confidence in the words anymore.

I have said numerous times the market won’t react until COPL do something and in that update all they have done is confirmed the 1700bopd mentioned off the cuff at the hearing has strangely not happened and that they have reduced production while they endeavour to do something.

Also confirmed in terms of words the JV is progressing which typically is a positive and should be seen as that but the previous words have led to nothing so the markets will react when they see results. That could make the instant SP swing either impressive.

If you extract the mad versions of events on the positive and negative slant basically, we are left with the company have said many times X will happen and to date it has not, which then drives the “it will never happen” and “we will be millionaires”
I remain positive on the assets and potential going forward but if the latest funding does not get this on the right path to more production, an RBL and a potential of the JV then personally I will not apply much more thought or credibility to COPL.

Why is everyone worried in 2023 (4th month) we have been told we are buying some pipe and have mainly the same objectives as we did a year ago but they are short term objectives apparently.

Basically until they release an RNA saying they have achieved something no one is interested. It you don’t like the BH / others flapping around with making some profit even at these levels my advice is don’t buy or sell and stares in COPL and let them play with themselves.

I nearly purchased more today but actually decided it’s the wrong call for me and until I see tangible results I will do nothing.

Interesting there are now a lot of 1m trades going through which include the late published ones from this morning.

Might actually start resembling something interesting soon

He will either deliver on the “short” term objectives (some of which were 2022 key deliverables)

Or

He won’t.

Until we see anything tangible from the company it’s still not clear because previous failings dictate that no investors are currently that bothered or excited about what might happen they just want to see something happen.

If the next RNS says something is completed (production progress, RBL, JV, recompletions etc) it might react well, if the next one mentions “progressing, shortly, soon or should” the response will be zip. To me the previous RNA’s, presentations and interviews have all had positive spin but at some stage people just roll the eyes and want progress.

I do agree there are many macro factors at the moment but I also believe they are overridden by :-

financing methods to date
Lack of production progress
Lack of RML progress
Many missed milestones (2 of the above where key 2022 objectives)

Even with no being funded for 2023 / 2024 with a decent pot of cash, apparently a plan to increase production, RBL being worked on, JV in discussions and a 1b discovery we have a market cap of £notverymuch

My main worry is everything is in place to make it a success including a likely rising oil price unyet until the company demonstrate they can do what they say they want to do it would matter much what is happening on the macro stage.

2023 should be a good year for COPL and there are now zero excuses for it not being a good year so let’s see what they do.

Fingerscrossed, I don’t disagree with you but I have mentioned a couple of times that words from our CEO will mean nothing to the share price given the previous statements made in the past.
Action / achievements is what are needed to move the SP. Personally the fact we don’t have something telling is the RBL / JV is progressing is refreshing as I have heard that enough anyway so lack of hearing it again makes zero difference and if they stated in black and white is was being finalised I would still question if that was in 2023 or 2024.

Look I am positive on COPLs assets but the oil price has not affected this share in either direction since the day dot, it’s not at the development stage where direct oil price affects the SP imo
Also I hope there is a good update, but words about what they are doing / going to do / want to do need to be overtaken by actions so let’s see if these short term objectives (some of which have been around for a long time) start to actually happen, because then we might start to see SP movement in the right direction for a prolonged period of time.

Finwittrader, it was in reference to the additional shares for the arms length creditors. Don’t worry I won’t respond further as this board is awful it’s either fully in the emotional COPL is amazing camp or COPL is a disaster and the answer is actually somewhere in the middle with financing now in place where management can control the outcome.

Well if you read that RNS we were closer to lights out than I expected so now we have a crap MC, money and more shares in play let’s see if the management can deliver. No wonder there was no RBL / JV announcement previously.

So let’s see if the wells are a game changer as he suggests now there is finance to push forward.

That would be a good update but historically we don’t get plans we get positive words, or graphs on a logarithmic scale where you can’t actually make out what’s actually happening in the next 12 months in any detail, but can see that in 12-24 months it’s all ok.
The day they present a plan and stick to it, I believe a positive impact to the SP will take place. Various positive words on RBL, suggested dates, part of the key deliverables in 2022 and yet end of QTR 1 2023 we have words on the latest bond raise gives them better negotiating position. Now there will be good reasons for this based on conditions that COPL maybe can’t control but what they could do is communicate better.
Positive words from the company IMO mean nothing now and they could give the worlds most positive update new week with great words but until it’s delivered it would mean nothing.

Duster, or we will be back to an equivalent level that takes into account/assumes the addition warrants / bonds are included.

Pilot, I disagree the rise will start once the journey for production proves it’s going the right way and/or when some plan is in place to show progress can be made on the large find.

If I go positive I say in 1-3 months we might be on that journey which will only be 6 months after it was suggested we would be. For me it’s where it is and choice is wait or sell and given I would assume we are basically at bottom unless art gives us another game changing RNS then holding for me is the right choice but that’s based on my average and personal circumstances.
