Let’s see what happens with the SP but existing asset base covers a decent improvement in the SP so hopefully in the coming weeks that starts to be realised and the upcoming drilling, RBL and JV start to allow the market to factor in some of the significant potential there as well.

I support your timing assumptions I imagine it’s currently a deal term sheet going back and forth and if that is agreed then the legals will get involved and hopefully having done the majority of DD already would take 4-6 weeks to complete and sign on the dotted line.

However once a terms sheet is agreed most large scale existing investors are aware and as such leaks occur and my view is simple, nothing is factored in at all yet so any deal is positive.

The reserves are there and if a major player comes in with resource and funds to express the extraction then I am sure anyone invested in COPL will do very well.

The main issue with assessing production is we are typically 8-9 weeks behind reality.

It’s the 19th December and we only know what production was in October via the relevant website given they only present the data 4-5 weeks after that production month.

Basically the price is where it is until the finance is sorted or the production increases, which in terms of production we will only find out 8-9 weeks after the event unless the company releases information themselves on where they currently are. If some suggestions are right that all wells are now online, I would have thought that would have been a good opportunity to mention that and mention some suggestions on the impact that it’s having.

John, that’s a very true view of adding 3 months to anytime line to not be frustrated. Take that approach and won’t be a million miles off most circumstances in most shares.

The financing was a key deliverable in 2022 as we have been told many times in many presentations and RNA’s so I would expect some update this year to either confirm x/y/z is completed or we have a new time for completion due to a/b/c.

Must admit I would like some form of update this week even if operational in nature with some mention of progress on JV/RBL.

I mentioned some time ago that I was not convinced that we would see an uplift until the figures out at the start of Jan given flairing was only approved middle of oct so limited time to affect figures and apparently the on going works but just over 43k is still a disappointing result, although fundamentally 43 or 53 would have very little effect on the short term drivers so Makes very little short term difference even if disappointing.

The markets have considered we won’t get an RBL or JV for sure hence we are here.

You place your money, you take your chance but at these levels if you are investing for more than a few days I can imagine there will be plenty of opportunities to sell about 13.5p in the future

Crywolf, actually don’t disagree with much you mention as that’s why we are at 13.5p as the assumption is RBL/JV don’t happen yet and a raise in and around these levels is needed. Not sure anyone could argue different, if expectation was JV/RBL where going to happen in days (they certainly could do) then we would be higher.

However the point on publishing production updates is not really correct as a 3rd party does that and they are always published with +\-2 days I estimate, so no correlation between publishing date and good/bad progress from what I see.

Copl has significant potential, and I believe it will come good, which I was expecting to happen in 2022, but as we are approaching the Xmas period I will make an assumption that 2023 is more likely lol.

The price is currently set at a level where expectation is for another terrible finance deal / placing / other mechanism for getting money and people trading in a range (being honest I have done it myself a little and it’s helped protect my capital in the drop from 16-17 to 14 currently)

At some stage fundamentals take over when the business / market are not worried about where the next funding comes from.

Luckily that view holds as much value as it’s going to be £10 by March.

The company is progressing even if you don’t want to admit it. The reason for the SP is the mechanisms used to date to make that progress. The next stage should see better mechanisms used (RBL, JV, Production increases meaning organic funding etc….) to continue progress

Typically heads of terms are agreed prior to DD starting because it’s a lot of information and effort to go through for both sides. You would not start a DD process not knowing what the terms of the offer was or everyone would be asking for DD right left and centre just to find out information. I can only assume at this stage that COPL is a typical process until proven otherwise.

Well I am very happy, I took out my stake from Tuesday plus 10% and left the remaining shares in and given its a free ride I will leave these in until the end game now. All in all a good 2 days activity, with more to come.

Not impossible situation for sure, volume traded will be able to tell if that comes to fruition as I would assume to acquire 30%, the churn would need to be 2-3 times the shares available if there was a significant PI base and other HNE individuals trading on the way up.

They are building a business and I doubt the status of additional warrants at circa £1m will have little bearing on when or what happens with the RBL or JV as fundamentally they would be assumed as being issued from a finance / valuation perspective from the moment they were offered.

Mentioned yesterday I had been on boil previously and got frustrated with the lack of 3D data as my view was it could have been done much quicker lol.

Based on this I was hugely happy to see a definitive time line yesterday and managed to sneak a holding back so really happy.

Completely agree, I actual I invested in BOIL as I was not happy with the 3D data going back and back so now a line is in the sand it is great and provides an opportunity to get back invested prior to that key milestone as I feel that is the key first step.
