My simplistic view is the RBL and JV are further away than people think.
The finance today was basically in the plan they told us was happening, so today was not a surprise to anyone and can assume the recent significant drop in SP was quick to get the SP to the level where financing could happen.
The wording in the RNS suggests they now have better negotiating position, which to me still suggests they are at terms sheet stage negotiations only because if it was beyond that it would be just due diligence and finer legal points not negotiating terms.
With all the fall off his chair and game changer comments all that has happened in reality is a continuous dropping SP to a level where if you look at the market cap against the potential and assets it really is a joke and at this stage that is solely on the management because currently they are not able to demonstrate any share holder value to long term holders.
Every RNS is dressed as great news for the company so maybe in the future they will release some great news for existing share holders.
At some stage in the life of an explorer / producer the fundamentals take over and this could be the start position for that transition, but time will tell if there are more bumps in the road before fundamentals have their chance.

Maybe because the market believes there is at least one more **** finance deal in route before that. Even being positive on COPL medium / long term I still expect some interim finance solution before a JV/RBL, but I believe the sp must be in / around that assumed finance package deal valuation.

Duster, that’s exactly my view of why we are at this sp and it’s because the market expects another amazing finance deal before an RBL or JV. A small amount of raise should positively affect the SP but I think the markets have had enough of the companies forward looking statements about falling of chairs and strap in so I am not sure it would move it unless accompanied by solid progress on production/RBL or JV

John, there can be another shockingly **** finance deal hence we are at this sp imo and suddenly a lot of the usual interest is seen before a **** deal arrives that is then proclaimed to be the saviour of COPL, while people work on the way up.
The JV potentially allows that cycle to end.

John, yes it was a **** finance deal back in the day hence the SP stagnated as the markets knew it was ****!
Now we are at this sp as I assume the market is getting ready for another **** finance deal number and assumes it values the company at 6-10p after the **** deal arrives no doubt.

Why are people now suddenly assuming is a binary decision of JV or no JV, oh yes I know most people on LSE don’t event know how bonds / warrants / placings or what the majority of RNA messages mean other than the key head line “it’s a placing”, “it’s a discovery” “is a **** RNA” “it’s a great RNA” my suggestion would be make a decision on COPL based on what you think you know, switch off LSE and drop back in June to see how you have done, as you can only get played / manipulated into doing something if you are in the game.

Why post stuff like that when it could be tomorrow or something could be way beyond tomorrow. People create pressure for news themselves. Not that I don’t want clarifications now

With the greatest respect you last mentioned you had £1k invested and sold it out because of your concerns, which I won’t criticise because regardless of the amount you made a call based on what you are happy to lose etc.

Comparing it to CINE and constantly talking on here for a few £k I assume is causing you a lot of anguish and effort so probably best to pick a position, stick to it and then wait till the company tells you what’s going on

If we find out in a week or 2 that there is a share raise @x.x or low xx.x with the usual wording that it’s based on the last few days average share price, then the sudden drop will have benefited some one.

My view was its a standard regulatory process, but equality shows the lack of decision / action on an RBL is actually hurting COPL based on the fact we have a lot of “game changers” that to date have only had a negative effect on the companies sp performance due to the way they are financed.

I am going to go out on a limb and say finances won’t be any issue and will be available but at what cost is the usual copl question as to date any finance hast been poor for retail pi’s

I think the drop was way overdone, but can see why, which also actually shows the sentiment the share carries.

Well benny luckily COPL is already extracting oil, selling it and right now is probably classed as a going concern or there about’s, so the JV, RBL and Billions of barrels of oil talk (confirmed by RS) are very important in terms of speeding up the journey and adding value but the chances of going to zero share holder value in a risk reward calculation would be having very little impact on the risk score.

Look this is great news but until COPl put information out in public that’s positive.
Lots of positive news has been released but most positive news lately has about what will/might/should happen. Turn them announcements in to X,Y,Z has happened and the tide will turn

Hence I said WTI has slightly more relevance now, but the SP is where it is, not due to WTI prices and could increase significantly but again that won’t be based on WTI prices.
The day I wake up and see a 5% increase / decrease in WTI directly affecting COPL by the proportional % amount based on expected revenue increase / decrease I will be happy as it probably means my holding is worth a lot given where the company would be.
People can agree / disagree as it’s good for the mind and it’s only my opinion, but currently I am happy in my view that a 10% up or 10% down swing in WTI has very little impact on the SP given the other factors involved. Does it materially affect revenue more now with no hedge for 6 months, yes of course it does but I just don’t see that affecting SP.

I am in agreement that WTI is important for obvious reasons but over the last xx months/years the WTI price has had zero effect on the COPL share price be that in a negative or positive way.
The factors that are driving the sp within a range and subsequently the factors that can significantly drive it out of the range are significantly larger than WTI so until COPL are extracting at a significant rate the WTI will not hold huge relevance although slightly more relevance for the next 6 months

That about sums the recent price movements up.

Can I ask why we constantly predict blue? I want COPL so to increase, to start to show some value of what it has but until unrealistic time scales are stopped being dropped in conversation like confetti the SP and bonds stop being converted the SP will always be under pressure.

I wanted to be COPL longer term to reach max value but recently I have been hoping for a 7.30am suspension RNA with the words takeover involved to just speed things up.

Do I doubt the RBL, JV or potential production, no. Do I wonder when the company can meet these objectives, yes

That’s exactly my strategy with my long term holding. I had envisaged that anytime from 6-18 months after a JV or a significant drilling plan could be the sweet spot for exiting or better understanding of what value can be achieved.

Shaa, I fully agree I don’t think it was a but based on the time / qty and price

Just got round to watching the interview and out of all the interviews then one felt like there was more substance behind some points which I really liked. Hopefully by June 23 we will have seen some decent value added to the company that’s then reflected in the SP.
