Hi all. I'm having a look at Drax principally because it offers a good amount of volatility. I know I should do my own research, but does anyone have any hints to how the pattern moves? Eg Glencore follows copper quite closely. A lot of the movements here I've noticed seem to be around political environmental announcements. Any hints much appreciated.

I'd note zinc and copper having a good day while SSEC has has stabilised of late.

Sudden drop in the dollar has given this legs. I don't see it lasting though or breaking 240 looking at the PMs pattern on a monthly basis. So if I were in I'd be selling. (Note I want this down as I want in when my other shares allow so if I'm sounding like a doom monger its entirely possible I'm being unduly influenced in my judgement)

IMO its all down to the Chinese this week. Copper approaching the refer peak, American Tax worries calmed, DB Base metals Index heading upward. A nice steady upward slope for the SEC and I'm hopeful, but not predicting, 800 could be touched.

Im guessing the sentiment is that Copper and Zinc are back on the rise and China's recent issues were short term reactions to mainly political matters there and in the US.

Even with the rate rise dollar and PMs edge up. Any dips in PMs now could plummet this to 319 as below. Takes your choices

So they raise rates and the mining secor has a grand old time of it. Even allowing for a slight dip in China. Do I not understand the process or did the market just not case about the rate rise, possibly due to recent commodity dips?
