Looks like it's levelled out at 440 now. I can't see it dropping much below 430.

Essentially unexciting results in the middle of a trade war. This isn't to be unexpected. (Note I didn't see it coming though!)

Yes, the German GDP shrinkage has added some doubt.

I hope the next part of the Trade War Soap Opera is some talks being agreed to. My entry was 530 so as long as we're above 500 I'm calmish.

It does just kind of feel that there's a setback and the market gets "used" to it. THe setback doesn't correct itself but the Copper price and Kaz then move up.

I did waiver before buying at 530 and then steeled myself to buy thinking the Fed decision created the blip.

Then I read about fecking Trump....

Being approached and probably breached as I type. It's not a happy share this afternoon.

I'm convinced we'll see some big gains Monday though.

Morning all. I'm in at 530. I think now with the tariffs going on the final tranche of Chinese goods that's the bad political news out of the way. Now we'll just see ups on trade talks beginning and lows on them ending with no result. I'm sensing copper won't go and lower and the dollar won't shoot up any more like what we've seen in the last 48hrs.

I've been wrong before though and I might be again. GLA

In my mind I'm prepared for a drop to 515 and am expecting a relatively easy rise to 560 within 2 weeks.

Presumably this is mean ups and downs as we all try to read the participants faces and the odd Trump tweet handgrenade.

While talks are ongoing though I'm hopeful downsides from here are quite limited. GLA

Yes, given the recent good form of the Share I'm inclined to think there's nothing the report can do that'll boost it.
Additionally has the market already factored in the US interest rate cut?
I was in at 540 so it's tempting to consider selling.

A seemingly bright start to the week but Copper hasn't really kicked on and both the FTSE and Nikkei futures are dipping as I type.

All eyes to the US and China. I'm hoping it testing the 500 barrier this week.

I think the rise will come whenever their is a hint of good news. We got about 10% on the basis of there being no new tariffs. Removing tariffs or even an agreement to sit down and seriously discuss tariffs should be worth 10% again IMO.

Minimal rises today. This just needs some bad Chinese data or an end to the polite discussions between China and the US and we're looking at sub 500.

I agree. I'll aim to buy after a 5% rise so 504

If there is no further news above and beyond some minor contact between the US and China I reckon this will be down to sub 500p by the end of the week (I sold at 591p)

Essentially a trade war is still on, there's no real discussion happening and I suspect before it gets better there will be some tweeting from Trump.

If Trump and Xi are seen doing lunch then 600 is in the bag.

I think Trumpy and China will have a couple of weeks pouting and then announce new talks.

We seem to be comfortably outperforming the FTSE 350 now since the Results day and I don't see any reason that shouldn't continue. Conservatively I'd look at 210p by ex Div date. The question then is will it take a big hit? I'd hope the potential growth left (300p)? Would discourage holders from dumping.

Yep. And no reason it shouldn't do. Simply one party selling out en mass, nothing wrong with the company.

Not a pleasant experience though all the same!
