I was trying to figure something similar out today. Given metals broadly fall and rise inversely with metals we need something that goes well on a strong dollar...in theory a company exporting to the US. Theres some evidence of this with RR. if you look really hard and want to see it!

I only ever use the simple version that comes up if you type in HOC Share Price. It's now useless beyond 1 mont. They were moaning about it on the Glencore board

Ditto. Metals and dollar down. Makes no sense

That's a nice promise for the future. I'm still quite miffed though!

Is there still enough rebound effect from Vedanta's recent and medium term losses to move the share upward?

Morning GingerT It'll be interesting to see how this goes today. Silver and Gold marginally down and the dollar marginally up.I suspect the dollar is going to slip back and this will be back up to late 250's by close of the week.

I'm not entirely convinced about the Chinese connection because as you say Metal seems to be holding steady. Looking back over 3 months zinc and coopper display a great ability to bounced back ery quickly and the magnitude of this drop isn't out of the ordinary. So no worries yet

Yes, as I type everything in the 350 miners is down. Aside from Randgold just about holding its own. I hold vague dreams of figuring out why

Ha. Looking at the chart I just can't. It's got to have another dip in it before we're talking that price (as you know I'd rather trade than hold). Funds are already directed elsewhere. Rest assured though as the price ticks up the fact you're benefiting wams the cockles of my heart!

But maybe the dip in Zinc and Coopper is holding it back....

Thats been and gone now. I wish I could go back a week and break my finer as it moved toward the "sell" button!

Morning all. Bit of an unwelcome dip there but she's back up again. Question for any long time investors. Is there any particular commodity Lead, Oil, etc etc that influences the price? Sorry to just ask for the fruits of your research but it's more fun to share!

Morning all PM's down modestly and the Dollar not tanking. HOC still holding it's own. With Silver rocket again? Will PM's do the Friday crash Noggers refers to? No idea at this point. Its much like the Ashes GLA
