Sold at 232.20 Theres just too much potential drop in my opinion that could result from PP resigning. Even if she doesn't I think uncertainty will keep the � low and therefore HOC price restrained for the rest of the week. Anyway that's my theory and I've put my money where my mouth is.

The $ has been on the rampage since midday and PM's have dropped on a similar timescale. Dollar is now dropping and PM's stabilised. I'm calling a 232 start for HOC tomorrow

I have to agree with this.Essentially I think we're (the Gold and Silver price) being held back by the strength of the dollar and their won't be any long term rise until it weakens, principally against the Euro. I'm intending to start trading with 229 and 236 as my rough parameters.

It'll pop down to 227 in a bit. Good price though an d lower than my 239

Its to be expected. That's not me saying I knew this would happen, it's just no surprise it did. We had the big rise yesterday and the rate increase today is more of less a done deal ergo people will sell while they have the bird in the hand, fearing a drop on the actual announcement. My attitude looking at the graphs for HOC, silver and gold is that we're at the beginning of one of it's 1-2 month climbs so as long as the the lower end of the daily range raises day by day (if that makes sense) I'm happy.

Thats what I like about this share. You don't sit there shouting "WHY? Why has it dropped?" Its always self evident looking at PMs or further up the tree to currency. Now....just need to predict the patterns better.

My working theory is a weaker $ gives higher PMs. We need a prolonged drop on the $to Euro. $ to � will weaken this week I think as UK interest rate is mooted Thursday Fingers crossed

Fingers crossed. Though silver and gold edging down and $ edging up. I'll be happy with a modest rise.
