It has been about Omicron initially anton vb and that is what knocked the sp from 47p / 48p as the biggest ever generalisation was made that if it was in South Africa that would rapidly spread across the full of a massive continent in which it just so happened TLW operate. Not only that but it also knocked the Oil price significantly. Agreed thereafter that it was probably seized upon for political / self saving interests.

However as the article below highlighted South Africa looks to be past its peak which translates well for the UK and other countries.

More good news tonight that the symptoms are indeed "mild"

The oil price seems to be responding positively and is back above $75 per barrel. That should hopefully drive up oil company share prices further and take us back to where we were prior.

NF to my knowledge KTP has to date been completely wrong with his modelling all the way through the pandemic. I do however expect better off our elected representatives and Witty and Vallance and tbh the reporting media as well. A lot of people's Christmas livelihoods have been ruined as a result of previous claims and sensationalism.

Personally I think it will now be EXTREMELY DIFFICULT to even consider any further restrictions based on this. The Cabinet have already been wanting definitve proof" and then it would now need to get through HoP debate and a vote (and there were already over 100 revolting conservative MP's)

Possibly 1 week to 2 KTP imho. Our numbers presently seem to be plateauing and with more vaccination and immunity than SA, and booster campaign, it could be sooner.

Went to a 5p.m. showing this evening and was expecting it to be quiet as it was around dinner time.

The reality was completely different. Cinema was very busy and I'd say the large Imax theatre was about 2/3 full. Quite clearly the online numbers I saw about 3 days back had roughly trebled. Loads with concession items as well which I'd say was about an 85% ratio and including ourselves.

Brilliant film, well worth seeing if you haven't already and happy to stand by an estimate of the film surpassing $1 Billion internationally by early January (and that's without any Chinese release factored in as yet).

Contemplating going back to see it again in either imax 3D or 4DX

I don't think there will be any form of circuit breakers and have placed my chips accordingly. The public I feel are just being played along in one big charade of perceived indecision to keep everyone more alert and vigilant and to keep them focussed on going on getting those booster injections. * The present infection, hospitalisation and mortality figures don't merit it.
* Clear as day the symptoms are mild.

To put us in line with say airlines like EZY and TUI which are both in our sector we should be double today's gains and just to keep pace as they are up % or 6%. maybe a bit more as we fell 7.41% yesterday whilst they only lost half a percent or a percent or so.
