Mcap is far less than ev. Last year despite the profit impairment announcement shows who was behind the scene but the question now is what comes up next? What happens to NA sale? New contracts etc.
management is not that level of inexperienced what they are showing. And by the way they now need 14 days to pass resolution rather than 21 days.
For me Ebit to be remain at £175 - £185M is a fantastic news. it seems headroom increased significantly and planned sale of NA business will reduced the covenant gearing . Not bad update at all. Bod is doing well. Second half of the business is telling the story of first half the 2024.
What would be the net worth of Mobico if NA business receive lower offer of around 1.3 B?
What impact it will bring on SP, Revenue, operating profit and debt reduction? Please comment if you have any idea about it.
Huge difference quickdip. A valuable company operating in different countries have revenue more than 3b expected EBIT 175-185 M is different from a house worth one M and not generating any cash. If your logic is correct then from IAG to your easy jet and ASOS all are rubbish companies because they have debt. Don’t worry about Mobico . It is in safe hands.
I am losing 56% of my capital. Having nothing to top up further. But I don’t see any reason to be worried. Same arguments people were pointing out, management, dividend, etc… I personally don’t think that management failed anywhere. They reinstated routs, hired the drivers, contract rise 14%. Showing a potential buyer good outcome in the future and then holding NA assets for sale. Isn’t it good rather than they sold in 2021?
Remember there was a profit of 197M in 2022 and eps was 15p. Now there is no Covid related money. Revenue is still increasing and I believe profit margins will follow. On the other hand if they disposed of NA school bus business it’s fine but if they don’t sale I am more optimistic about the future of this share. Debt is not a big problem with that kind of cash generating company.
Be relax only a consortium knows when they will move this share and we cannot do anything.
When they said gearing will be 1.5 to 2 they knew from where that money will come. They are focusing on rail and bus business in Europe and possibly in Middle East. Let them make this shift.
